I still collect bd/dvd and some VHS around... mainly if you tell a friend about a series you own, it's easier to lend them a copy then tell them where to obtain it. If it comes with goodies(especially Artbooks ^_^) it'sfeels much better. Not to mention, downloading you have to take them episode by episode.

harmonylareina wrote: ![]() That's the only physical DVD set I own, but I'm 85% sure it's a fake. (I mean, the DVDs work and have what they're supposed to have on them, but the set itself is probably counterfeit. I don't think they ever released all five seasons like that.) I can promise you that is indeed fake. But considering the anime is hard to find now that it's mostly OOP (Out of Print), I don't see why it would be such a big deal. |

Well due to my poor status I am only limited to torrents and the old vhs I have. Some pokemon episodes, Dragon Ball Z. I have all of Invader Zim and Guilty Crown but so far that's it. Soon though, once I have a secure foundation and know what I can bank on being my spending money, I will exponentially increase that.

I don't buy DVDs anymore. Only Blu Rays...
@License Holders: How can you look in the mirror without getting sea-sick while releasing anime, that airs in 720p in TV, as 480p DVD?? |

I always prefer to have hard copies of any type of media when I can. That being said the industry doesn't always make it very convenient to do so.

Just ordered a bunch, got and watched one yesterday. Blu-ray is the stuff, that's for sure. Nice knowing you can watch it forever no matter what happens with the license.

Yup, just got done ordering some myself. Pre-ordered the Umineko no Naku Koro ni Blu-ray set and Madlax the complete collection. Like others have said, I like having the physical copies of animes since you never know when they will stop making them, and I really don't want to pay $250 plus for a series.

I like physical copies of anything better than digital. I buy all my music in cd form as well as books and videos. There just something about being able to touch it and collect it ^^

Not so much anymore. Downloads are easy to obtain, whether payed for or completely free. Discs can fail, leading to some frustration.
