I'm too poor to own a physical collection. Trust me, I would LOVE to own the physical DVDs/Manga/etc.

When I have a better job I plan to decorate my house with anime and games. (*3*)

I'll have shelves of DVDs and Manga and action figures and stuff. xD

Edit: Though I do own some DVDs and Manga, it's not a huge collection. Yet.

Probably like 10-15 DVDs, mostly movies, like one box set.

Manga I have maybe 4-5 series (missing some volumes due to the basement flooding last hurricane) with about 50 ish books total.

Action Figures/Stuffed animals...not much, some pokemon plushies. A Domokun...etc. xD

Hey now... that's a great start! The way I see it, it doesn't matter how much you have or how little, but that you're supporting the thing you enjoy (or love)! As for me, I have 67 titles.

Question: Did you buy the DVD or Blu-Ray version? The difference in extras seem quite significant.

I have the Blu-Ray versions. I checked the Amazon page and the description didn't change. What are the extras in which version?

I'm just going by what Rightstuf says. Apparently, the DVD version has shorts involving a Mr. Experiment, Japanese promos and commentaries in addition to the Japanese audio track, none of which are present in the Blu-Ray version.

This show is still on my to-watch queue but in regards to what it means for anime U.S. releases as a whole, I'm paying close attention. Curious to see how the consumers respond to this release...

Well, it was a collection built over 10 years or so.

I've spent way more money on games than I have anime/manga...mostly because it's just easier to stream or DL anime/manga. xD

Huh. Oh well.

I can say, though, that the dub is excellent. Especially Yukiko's VA did a lot better than she did in the game. They pronounce some things weird, but eh. Oh, and my god. It is the most hilarious thing I have ever seen. It has made me laugh my ass off, and it has made me cry. It has taken its place as my #1 favorite show, topping the previous victor, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

Oh. Still, at least you're doing something (legal) to show support.

Yup, that's why I've come to Crunchyroll. Loads of anime that is legal...titles I never heard of and people to recommend them. Sad I didn't come here sooner.

I came here originally because the second title I ever bought, 5 Centimeters Per Second (2010 version), was produced by Crunchyroll and distributed by Bandai (if I remember correctly). Anyway, I looked up Crunchyroll after watching it and reading the case it came in. Didn't actually make an account until months later though, but regardless I've been here ever since. The first show I bought was Birdy the Mighty: Decode.

I only buy the complete collections to series I really like, or wanted to watch for a while. Anything else I will watch (legally) on either CrunchyRoll, Hulu+, etc.

I still collect the DVDs. When I found out how much one of my out-of-production boxed sets cost to replace, I started hording them. I paid like $40 for a boxed set that is now selling for over $300. Yeah, I'm keeping them.

Yes I still buy stuff on disc. Preferably Bluray but DVD if that's the only choice.

Thanks to Crunchyroll, I bought Steins;Gate and Bunny Drop. Also thanks to Crunchyroll, I added Dusk Maiden of Amnesia and Mysterious Girlfriend X to my want list when Sentai Filmworks releases them.

That's dedication!

I do love older tech. VHS, video game console generations 1-6, CRT television sets, all that good stuff. My apartment looks like it could double as a museum of entertainment technology.

I never have before but I'm planning on buying Fate/Zero, Hellsing Ultimate, and Kara no Kyoukai (though Fate/Zero especially will bleed my wallet dry so I think I might hold off on that).
