I think of this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=scCbpMxCQ8Y&feature=related

But seriously, I think of it's low crime as anxt0r mentioned and I think of how cold it is there, due to the geographic location.

I can't say I've ever heard of any association between Sweden and "sexual hunger," nor of whatever scandalous event that happened in 1956. However, for whatever reason it is, valid or no, the stereotypical impression of a Swede is blond and beautiful or handsome. Anybody remember the so-called "Swedish Bikini Team?" They weren't Swedish at all, but an American beer marketing gimmick-- but it played upon the stereotype of Swedes being blond, buxom, and beautiful.

I'll admit, most of what I know of Sweden is parts of its military history.

Great commanders like King Gustav II Adolf, or Gustavus Adolphus Magnus as he's more commonly known. For such a sparsely populated nation (At the time), the amount of victories your country had around the time of the thirty years war is testament to the skill of its generals, and the quality of its troops and training. At one point you controlled large swathes of Eastern Europe, all up and down the southern edges of the Baltic, giving the Poles and The Rus more than their fair share of beatings
I'm not a supporter of war, but am instead a fan of military history, and I believe Sweden deserves far more historical respect than it's given.

I think these days your country has faded into a state of semi-obscurity, with news from your shores rarely making international headlines. But the way I see it, that can only be a good thing, as the things the rest of our countries are doing to make international headlines are rarely something I can be proud of, frankly. There's a lot to be said for being the quiet guy at the back who nobody hates!

I'm not entirely sure why people the world over rave about Scandinavian women being especially attractive. Virtually all of both Western and Eastern europe is full of genetic mongrels, and there's hardly a national 'look' for any of us, if you'll forgive the somewhat blunt phrasing. We've all moved all over at some point in the past couple of thousand years (Especially so in the British Isles, lot of old Scandinavian blood here as well).

I'm also pleased that you have retained your monarchy, unlike so many other European nations who cast theirs off without a second thought. In these times, more than ever, it can be good to have a national figurehead, even if their physical function is purely ceremonial and diplomatic, as many of us struggle with finding a sense of national identity, whilst being told to apologise for what our ancient forebears did to others.

All in all, I'm happy that Sweden's still going strong, and entirely happy to have you (And by extension, the rest of Scandinavia) as our neighbours across the little sea! Spending a few months travelling around Scandinavia remains one of my most desired holidays, and I fully intend to do just that in the next few years

Well you do make sense ^^ thanks for your oppinion! :D

Some of these comments... I find tourism ignorant, meaning to me other countries are not a type of disneyland and should not be viewed as such by any intelligent person. All the history of male kings and warriors? That's andro-fluff for the little man-boys. Oh, and "Low crime"? When I think of modern Sweden, just like Norway and to some degree Iceland who is finding itself very quickly in the same position I think of the growing rape crisis as part of a growth in violent immigrant (muslim) crime. As in Norway's "rape epidemic" Sweden is having it's fair share of problems following multiculturalism and it's predetermined failure as a white liberal utopian experiment. Swedish women are 'women'. I put women first no matter where they are or what their complexion is. I'm more interested in the real people of Sweden and the real problems Swedish females are facing. So that's what I think about unfortunately.
