A non-sequitor; you know with some newborns this is actually a tricky question--ever hear of intersex people with ambiguous genitalia? Doctor would know best then whether there parts down there are more like male parts or female parts when the baby is born (to assign a sex on their documents although sometimes this gets changed later when the child gets older and possibly figures the doctor chose wrong).

Anyway, I only note it in 3 cases:

1. If it's from a movie/tv show/video game/book/anime/manga/etc I know; then I hypothesize that they like that movie/tv show/video game/book/anime/manga/etc.

2. If there's a clear theme in the photo that doesn't just look like it's coincidental with case 1, then I assume that theme has something to do with the person.

3. If it's an actual photo of a real life male who isn't a celebrity, then I assume that's them (photos of females on the other hand I don't because alot of men have this thing for putting up photos of women, real, drawn/art or otherwise on their profile; although the opposite (female using picture of a male) does happen at times, it's alot rarer).
