why only the first two?
I may re watch the show but the ending was a little bland for my tastes.
If only this happened to Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu instead of it being fully removed. (I was away from the internet during the time it was removed)

When I first saw the title, I was thinking, "No surprise, Funimation is close to releasing the box set, so I expected this might happen".

But it only affecting episodes 1 & 2 seems a bit strange. Funimation normally offers the first 2 episodes of all series on their site for free at all times (and only offers the full series at certain times for free viewing). Given that, I would have expected something along the lines of the first two episodes not being available in North America, but instead we have the exact reverse.

The first two episodes are streaming as promos for the series on disk and for the dubbed episodes available at FUNimation.com. FUNimation evidently doesn't mind promoting their disks or their site to people on Crunchyroll.

Good job on Crunchyroll being able to hold onto a catalog title for people outside of North America.

EDIT: As llamaben notes below, I may have misread the announcement ~ I better get a cup of coffee. It seems more likely to read that the teaser episodes are getting region blocked outside of North America. Which doesn't make any commercial sense, but would probably be a technicality in the way that the streaming contract is written.

The post is worded poorly, but it can be interpreted as people in North America can view the whole series, while people outside of America can only view ep 3-12. Strange, I know, but I can't view ep 1 or 2 right now (even though they're supposedly still available till the 31st...).

Agreed. That was my initial reading of the post, too. I had to read the other comments to see that it actually meant Crunchyroll lost the license for the series in North America (except for episodes 1-2). It's never fun to have a series removed.

I, surprisingly, did not like this series... it felt kind of shallow.

This is interesting, I think this will be the first time America doesn't have a series on Crucnhyroll, interested to see what will happen now.

What... :I
If FUNimation is behind this I really don't understand what they aim to achieve by making those two episodes unavailable for the rest of the world only... they are a north american publisher are they not? I:, '

Seriously the publishing business is confusing me more and more.... like here in Norway where I live they don't show anime on television nor distribute dvds, well except your typical children's collecting/battle series like pokemon and of course a ghibli film here and there.
So I don't get what they have to lose on distributing any other series here on Crunchyroll, legally, instead of having people watch it through the illegal alternatives. I know for a fact that more people would have bought a premium membership here if Crunchyroll had the license to stream those shows here too. Creating more revenue and attention, and could possibly only be a positive influence on the anime industry.
Of course you have import of DVD's but then again those are region protected (easily overcome I know, but in principle).

It's like this pointless "isolation" from watching anime legally which doesn't seem to be of benefit for any of the parts really...

No, it means North America will only have episodes 1 and 2, the rest of the world except Japan, Korea, and Mongolia (why Mongolia?) will get to see all twelve episodes. The DVD/Blu ray pack is coming out in may and it will have all 12 episodes plus the OVA uncensored.

Found a reason not to keep the subscription going.

This is outrageous! How dare you do this to your American overloads!

Still it is more logical if Funi will take episodes 1-2 away from CR instead of screwing the rest of the world and still retaining episodes 1-2 in CR. What advantage will Funi have from screwing the rest of the world if they're a North American publisher?
