Lucid dreaming
Posted 6/19/12
I remember my first lucid dream. At the begining I was confused to what was
happening to me since it took place at my cousins house, which I was spending
the night at, outside in her yard. It was so surreal everything was places in the exact
right location. I eventually became aware of it and had a bit of fun wondering around.
I did not know at the time that these kind of dreams were called a lucid dreams.
Yes, they are legit and if you're able to have one or even a dozen count yourself lucky!

I've always been a lucid dreamer. For some reason gamers tend be lucid dreamers a lot. I'm not sure if that's why I am but I did play video games at a very early age and I've almost always been aware that I'm dreaming when I'm dreaming. Its rare for me to not have a lucid dream. My dreams run like movies.

Well I'm a gamer and I can't say I've been so fortunate. I managed to pull of one lucid dream, but since then nothing.

I had two in total and one of them I thought was so real, since I could touch, feel, smell, speak and see. When I woke up... It pissed me off and felt so disappointed, since I knew it was just a dream and felt very real.

Not had any since though, which is a shame.

I actually had one two days ago..I had two dreams in total.

The first one was weird but I had no idea at all I was dreaming. In the dream, it was dark outside as if it was night time and on the clock it said it was 4.

The other one, this random guy walks up to me and is like, what's up? Then, he slaps me (it's possible to feel pain in dreams..) and runs away like nothing happened. I knew I was dreaming because I was in a white room with no one but me and the guy. There was no door or anything.

Lucid dreaming is not dangerous in anyway. How is it dangerous to know you're dreaming?

Focusing too intensely can make you wake up. Carlos Castaneda said to divide your attention by raising your hands in front of your face like you were trying to plan a movie shot. I've tried it. It really works.

Also, I have had conversations with my subconscious. I ask an NPC if I can talk with "The Dreamer." Once The Dreamer appeared as a timid child near a castle moat. (Feeling besieged, I guess.) Another time he appeared as a lifeguard overseeing a chaotic indoor swimming pool. He was too aloof on his high chair, and too busy managing a whole little world, for idle chat.

I have had conflicts with my subconscious over impulse control issues. He punished me. I woke up screaming in bed, only to fall back paralysed. It was just a dream bedroom , and I had Sleep Paralysis. I would struggle to wake up and find myself in another bedroom, only to find it was just another paralysis dream. I found the only part I could move was to turn my head left and right until I woke myself up for real. Apparently, I moved my head in real life. According to research at Stanford we can control our eye movement while dreaming too.

I have been fully awake and fully asleep at the same time on two occasions. Freaky wierd, but true. Once a micro-sleep while on a dangerously non-stop road trip. Another time, I was having a hilarious dream when the alarm went off, and my subconscious remained in hysterics while my conscious came awake. Both events only lasted seconds, but were clear proof to me.

There is a dream mask that measures rapid eye movement, and flashes a light you see thru your lids. It alerts you to the fact you are dreaming. Supposedly very effective.

Happy dreaming!
