The main headquarters of The Watchers of Humanity. It is a gigantic militaristic base surrounding a gargantuan tower, at least fifty stories in height. It is home to the most elite of Watchers' units, as well as the infamous Ivan Von Duke.

It was all just a matter of running through the motions now. There was no emotion in her eyes, little less in her heart. Her hands moved over the gun, repeated the same motions over and over and over. She cleaned it everyday; and everyday seemed exactly like the one before. She was tired. The sheer drab of the place was weighing her down. She had grown up thriving on action, on fighting. Sure, she had plenty of that here, but not like before. She wasn't fighting for her life anymore. She was just... Just fighting. Aaren's eyes were cold as the arctic, and the color of slate as she continued, a bitter scowl on her face. Right now, she needed a nice session of 'beat-someones-head-in' therapy.

A man walked up to her, his pupils pure white, the first sign of a man so under the control of the Father that they'd become feral in all combat situation, "Master Ivan would like to speak with you." The man said without emotion, his eyes flickering the same way. He beckoned towards the tower in the centre of the compound.

She didn't stop. She kept her handgun meticulously clean. It had grown out of something required, into a habit. It kept her hands busy so her mind could wander; and when it wandered, bad things tended to happen. The appearance of the 'pawn' did nothing to help her mood, only causing her scowl to worsen. The only thing worse than a man that didn't fight was a man that followed blindly. She never had a high opinion of soldiers. She knew what they could do. "M guessin' tellin' him to shove it up his ass ain't n option. What does he want with me?"

"He has orders." the man said, his voice choppy, like he was being told the information right that moment as well, "He has orders for all of us. You are highly praised by some of the more aggressive members of this compound. He wants you to recite those orders to them."

The man pointed to the tower and left without another word.

Well that was fun. She put her gun back in it's holster, looking to the tower and grudgingly making her way towards it. As a general rule, she hated anyway that had more power than her. Or had more guns than her. Filled with hateful thoughts, she found her way into the tower, and headed up to go meet Ivan. Was he serious about the whole her giving a pep talk? No one seemed to respect her, either because of her age, gender, or her brash attitude.

The Father stood in Ivan's place, in Ivan's office, standing behind Ivan's desk, staring out Ivan's window at Ivan's new world. He turned around the moment she entered, "Hello." he began, "Ivan will not be joining us." he followed, his words seeming to almost overlap his hello.

She stopped in her tracks, eyes widening at the man that was blatantly not Ivan. She could handle Ivan. From the stories she had heard about The Father though.. She swallowed, a hand moving to her neck. This didn't promise a happy ending. "O-oh. Yeah. S'good, I guess. I don't like him." This was one of those few situations she wasn't prepared for. She seemed awkward and out of place. Give her a few minutes. She'll adjust.

"If you do not enjoy his presence, why would you enjoy mine, young one?" The Father asked. It was evidentially rhetorical, as he continued almost instantaneously, "You have been a member of our grand army how long, again? My memory is failing me in my old age." most of the Watchers that had any sense left in them often saw through his attempts to portray himself as just an old man, but it was still worth a shot to try to fool this one into letting her guard down.

She was glad it was rhetorical, because honestly, she feared her head would've been chopped clean off if she said what was on her mind. She straightened up, keeping her distance from the man. Aaren might have been blond, but she was no idiot. She knew not to fall for anything he said. What was it they said about him? A mask of a man, a tongue of snakes, and a mind of cats? She couldn't remember. The stories were from her cousins, whom she hadn't heard from in months. "Two years, sir. My family has been serving longer than myself." She became much more respectful as she gained composure. She wasn't falling for it, but was not answering really an option?

"And in those simple two years, look at all that we have accomplished." The Father said, turning back to the window and staring out across the destroyed landscape, "We've torn the world asunder. Divided the lands. Shifted the balance of power so much as to control everything ourselves. " he continued with a tone of pride and accomplishment. He was proud of his son's work, but the work was notnyet finished. His son couldn't rest yet, and neither could he, so long as The Rebellion stood.

Aaren rung her hands together, listening to him with an apprehensive air. What the hell did this freak want from her? She hadn't done anything against the rules, but her stomach twisted as if she were in trouble. She kept her eyes on him, ignoring the scarred landscape beyond. She was waiting for some sort of attack. "We? All due respect, sir, I haven't done much to help out. M jus' a-," she hesitated here, wanting to pick the word that had the right implications for this situation," a soldier."

The Father shook his head, "Without soldiers, where would we be? You are important, even if you do not realize it." he stated, looking back at her, "Each of our soldiers is important in Master Ivan's plan, don't you think?"
