How do you become an exorcist?
You don't necessarily need to be priest, but people think so.
Exorcism is real and most movies give a stupid interpretation of it.

Exorcism comes in a variety of forms. It really depends on the religion, or belief; and each belief system embraces exorcism in different ways.

For cultures rich in voodoo, the local Witch Doctor is your exorcist. Demonic possessions is well known knowledge, and taken with all seriousness.

As for the Catholics, they do have I guess you can say "exorcists" but they would much rather believe that demonic possessions dont happen. Which is just silly, because if you believe in the holy, then you really should believe in the demonic. I mean, they really dont appreciate people coming in for demonic advice. Calling for catholic exorcist is like youre calling for a crack dealer- it exists, but you gotta keep it quiet.

Many modern day Christians, with its numerous branches, dont have exorcists. At that point, it boils down the pastor/whatever the holy man is called- personal belief. Some point blank will refuse to help people who think they have demon problems (again, the disbelief something like that could happen) others take it with a grain of salt.

I mean, it really depends on the religious sector you're going to. There isnt "How to be an exorcist for dummies," guide. Most people who have supernatural problems, usually call on Mediums- people who are supposedly sensitive to the supernatural realm. Because mediums are the quickest to respond, instead of beating around the bush like many religious branches. It takes serious convincing, groveling, desperation, to actually have a priest/pastor/whatever come out to exorcise a devil.

How do you actually become an exorcist? Well become a man of the cloth (whoever's holy cloth you wanna wear) and find out. You'll prolly have to play church politics just to even get the information. I have a feeling that the information isnt given out lightly.

But what just stuns me silly, is how many religions like to preach about "the enemy." Whether is Satan, or demons, or whatever- "He's out there, turn away from the enemie's calling!" But if there so happens to be physical proof- not spiritual, or anything else- people want to flat out believe that it doesnt happen. For reals? You believe in the holy (holy to whatever your religion is) but you dont want to believe in it's opposite? An angel can come down from heaven and save you from a car crash, but a demon cant posses you? Talk about double standards. If you believe in one's existence, you damn well better believe in the counter part's existence.

You eat the shit of a sacramentally prepared virgin, chanting all the while "I'm a dick"
Good luck!

Don't generalize Catholicism based on your own opinions... Go to Catholic Church, you're opinion will change. 'Demons' are prevalent in the teachings, and we don't sweep exorcisms under the carpet. The Roman Catholic Church considers them private matters. They're none of anyone else's business.

lol each religion.. except those who doesnt have a religion has an exorcists.
there are, diviners, shinto priestess, monks, priests, medium, shaman, albularyo, spiritualists.
Yeah exorcisms exists but its mostly about demonic possession. its dangerous to actually perform an exorcism not only you will expel the demonic soul in the body there is also a greater possibility that the human soul would be expel as well.
