I used to have a friend who was extremely unintelligent. All the time he'd text me spoilers. And the texts were short like "this guy dies" so as soon as I look at my phone to even see who it is, I read a spoiler. Other times he'd call me and the first words out of his mouth were spoilers. There were also times when we were at work and he'd come up behind me and shout spoilers before I even knew he was there.
Logically, you're probably thinking he was just trolling, trying to piss me off. But no. He was just really ignorant. You could see the genuine butthurt on his face when I screamed on him and asked him wtf his problem was. He would be legitimately offended like I was the jerk. What was my problem? Why couldn't I just let him spoil every movie, TV show, or game that he got to before me? What was the big deal? As you may have noticed, I said he "used to" be my friend. It honestly got to the point where I told him never to speak to me again.

I'm pretty obsessive about avoiding spoilers. The biggest one I ever encountered, in life in general, was in Naruto Shippuden.
Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide People were discussing who the most misunderstood character was, and someone originally suggested Sasori. Then someone corrected him and said Itachi is the most misunderstood character.

Ditto...Especially when I purposely look up the ending to most games and shows.
Mass Effect, Code Geass, Darker Than Black, Steins;Gate, and FMA: Brotherhood are the only series I would have KILLED someone if they were spoiled. It's rare for me to find a series I just want to enjoy.
But incidentally I was spoiled by Code Geass HERE on CR, when someone spoiler tagged the ending in the middle of the series. You DON"T spoil the ending in the middle of the series even spoiler tagged. It's episode-by-episode!! Thankfully enough I thought it was just the spoiler for R1, and didn't know they meant R2. So I was able to enjoy it..but stil!!
