I had the ending and several key plot points to Hellsing spoiled by carelessly reading TvTropes.
Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Over time I ended up spoiling: Seras going full vamp, Pip's death and return, traitor Walter, Captain Werewolf, Alucard eating Schrodinger and poofing out of existence, The Major being a cyborg, Anderson going one winged angel, and Alucard clearing London with his army.
While that did nothing to diminish how awesome the series was I can't help but feel a little cheated by missing out on some truly awesome reveals. |

For me it was something in a trilogy of novels, and I did it to myself. I read the first book, which I actually got from the Science Fiction Book Club by accident when my mom forgot to send in the monthly card one month while I was away at college, not noticing that it was "book one" for some reason. When I got to the end and read the "here ends book one" line and was shocked. I then went looking for the other two novels. It turns out they were listed as "out of print" by the fist book store I checked. The second book store had one of them at their warehouse and could order the other, so I placed an order for both. The first one to come in turned out to be book three. I made the mistake of turning to the "Dramatis Personae" page and reading that one of the characters died in book two! :(

Worst one I ever had was about 2 weeks after Serenity, the Firefly movie came out. I was at my grandmother's house for dinner and my aunt and uncle were there. They started talking about it with my dad. Stuff like "Oh, that movie was good." and "Pretty special effects." I even said that I hadn't seen it.
Then my dad says "Man, I can't believe that Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Wash got killed!"
He actually apologized again like 6 months ago, lol. |

Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide I was watching Clannad and I went on YouTube to listen to Dango Daikazoku. This was before I was aware that YouTube videos were littered with spoilers. Someone had posted a comment saying, "R.I.P. Nagisa." I was genuinely depressed after that for two reasons. First, because it was a horrible spoiler, and even worse, because Nagisa was going to die. |
