I'd like to know if it is true that Crunchyroll will stream anime with subtitles in Spanish. It's a rumor I heard.
I hope your response.
Regards.

Anime News Network doesn't post rumours. If it says that CR announced it, then CR did.

But you're speaking English. Does this pertain to you?

Most people that are bilingual are not equally proficient in both languages. If I could read both English and Spanish, but it took me 50% longer on average to comprehend a sentence in English, you can bet I would prefer the subs be in Spanish.

ME GUSTA. "LAWL"

All kidding aside, it kind shows that crunchyroll is striving to a market other than North America. Well, let's see how this turns out.

I'll probably watch a couple of episodes in Spanish for the LULZ.

This is great for bilingual for people. Also, I think it's great that Crunchy is starting to break into Latin America. There's a lot of potential in Latin America for Crunchy. If more spanish speaking people subscribe, the more revenue Crunchy will have. And with more cash on hand, more anime can be made available for EVERYONE.

This is great news and will introduce crunchyroll up to a whole new group of people. This expanding out to a new market along with the amount of new simulcast were getting each season paints a bright future for CR look forward to the day CR becomes the one stop place for new anime and if non english speaking people can enjoy it as well that would be great.

Now one question is how will to comments and the forums be handled? Will the Spanish site have it own separate forum and comments section As if things go well we will have influx of Spanish users. I don't really think comments on videos aren't such a big deal and being Spanish my self I would be able to read them but for the forums having 2 languages being used isn't a good idea. I guess having a Spanish only sub forum and keeping the main forums English only as a rule like most forums that try to cater to a multi language population do is how they will go about this though.
