Not sure what I think of the new layout, personally, but I'm sure that it's going to be easy to adjust. The only thing that I can't seem to find so far is the links to seasons on the "shows" section. It was nice to be able to view what series were from what season (whether it be Winter 2010, Summer 2011, etc). If I am just missing it, I would love to know where it has been moved to. If it has been removed, it might be something good to bring back.

1st thing that needs to come back is the ability to see *ALL* the series available on one page similar to the old alphabetical layout. It now takes way too many clicks to look at all the series that are available.
Also the site needs more contrast, to much grey and white.

It's kind of hard to navigate through the series with the new layout. The look is nice, but going by season and really zoning into some of the titles is a bit annoying with the auto load.

Also, while the comment section is pretty nice, I can't find any way to access that useful "recently added" page from any part of CR unless I go to the page from a direct link (http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime/recent).

CR, you seem to have a habit of replacing old thing with new things that has LESS features.
The Queue f.ex. replaced the watchlist, but it barely retained any of the features that made the watchlist great!
The queue is also bugged with alzheimers, please fix that already!

And now the above link is not an included part of the new layout. The new layout has LESS features than that section used to have.
Please, retain the browsing features we used to have, and in alphabetical, include an "all"-option (you can keep it text only if you think that is best).

The look of the layout in general?
I say: "meh..."
It lacks that little something.

The logo?
Demand your money back, the artist F*ed you over!

I understand things change as time marches on (I dislike change, but I do understand).
However, some of the changes are just annoying.

Video Comments

While I think I understand why everybody these days is using the FB style of commets, the removal of the link for the full comments page is just downright annoying.
Having to sit on the video page to read all the comments is annoying enough when you don't want to watch the video but just read the comments, but it's even more annoying having to refresh it to get new comments, hence having to go through the process of pausing the video yet again to read.
Sure, you may want to do this to boost you video hits, but at least think of the users and give options.

New Alpha Page

Having an Alpha list of ALL shows in text format like the old page ( http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime/alpha ) is extremely useful.
The way it is set up now it requires more clicking and navagating to find what you want.

When I signed in today the first thing I thought when I saw this page "WTF".
Now I`m thinking "Blergh".
This design is not good, messy.

Was used to the old site, and already I think I prefer it to this. First thing, I didn't know if I was logged in, and spend two minutes looking for my Queue, and I too by far prefer an alphabetical listing of all the anime in text form on one page. Clicking 26 times to look at the same thing is just not on.

Removal of the season category is inexplicable. I finally subscribe despite all my reservations over prior business practices. No sooner do I do that then I encounter so many problems. iPad 3rd gen totally broken, so I go to the website. Now you're forcing paying customers to have to navigate through shows they have already seen, just to prop up hit counts on old content? Really?

that big orange bar is what defines crunchyroll to me. without it, its just look like another site I'll skip in a heartbeat.

also, the removal of "recently" added section where you can go straight to your favorite shows is mind-numbing since one thing in basic website design is functionality. you just removed one of your most useful function and what draws people to subscribe.

No offense to anyone who like it but I suggest a serious rethink of what you did to the site.

Agree with this one. Had the exact same thoughts.

I would also like to have the old alphabetical listing with all the shows on one page back. It is particularly annoying that when I'm browsing for a new anime to watch I feel obliged to look under 'Q' even though there are no shows with that letter. Similarly the '#' field only has two shows etc.

Otherwise I have no complaints. I didn't use any of the features that the other users are complaining about so can't really express an opinion on it.

I guess it's just me. I really like the simplistic elegant look. Looks much newer and not something made in the mid 2000's'

Not a huge change but I like what i see.

OK, a couple of things ...

Fixing What Was Broken:

(1) I think the new "Updated" that shows the series that have had a an update works as well as the "Recent Episode", and the bookmark thingie for series in your queue is good. It is a going to be a big improvement for dramas, which get four or ten or a whole series of updates at once, so that the "Recent Episode" is just all the uploads from one or two series. The new system will show what's going on. Of course, one thing it shows is that you don't have series images for all your dramas ~ you'll need to fix that so the "Update" page on the Drama's looks as impressive as the anime version.

That's all I can see that is an upgrade.

Breaking What Was Working:

(1) Alphabetical Groups versus View All ~ they can both be done at the same time.

"Alphabetical" does not have to conflict with "All". Don't stop the display at that letter of the alphabet, just keep displaying (like some channels do on Hulu). So you click "D", all the "D" shows are there, and then after the last "D" show is the first "E" show.

So someone who just want to browse through a screenfull at a time hits "Alphabetical" and just keeps hitting "next page". IOW the letters of the alphabet are shortcuts to particular spots on a continuous list.

(2) Where in the hell is the By Publishers and By Season anime list view?

Add them ~ sure, go ahead and launch the new season first, but sometime in the next three weeks, put the By Season and By Publisher view.

(3) Sabotaging members trying to market your fracking site for you.

Why in the hell would Crunchyroll hide the favorites page? I know that it got turned into a makeshift queue, and then you got a real queue (though one with occasional bouts of amnesia), but you have to be crazy to make it hard to share our favorite series. You ought to be making it easy. Favorite and Watchlist ought to be up on a little black bar at the top of the main profile page just like the different forum sections are in the little black bar at the top of the Forum page. And they ought to be the very first entries before Groups or anything else.

And there should be an automatic twitter tweet generator for each one! And an automatic Facebook post generator! Encourage people to use them and to share them with their friends online!.
