I gotta say the best Animation I have ever seen in regarding evolving of style and characters is Bleach...Even the fight gets better animated after each season, light, shadow and color seem better also. But Naruto to be such a successful Manga, anime and game it still lacks a but more seriousness in its animation of fights.

That being said, Bleach in its last Arc got better style without taking a break...So Hiatus doesnt mean it will comeback better.

I wouldn't be arguing it for just those frames that was just an example as there were many more that I saw within that fight which you may have not seen as you were just blinded by how amazed you were of the fact that Naruto and Pain were fighting.

Hiatus, because Bleach. Bleach is the primary example of why fillers are bad.

Most of those are the same two seconds or aren't even from the episode. You've got a picture of the prince of England (I think) in one of those, so I'm not sure what point you're even trying to make, especially if it's one about animation. Again, I'd ask what makes these poorly animated scenes? Are you saying that because it was stylized that it was poorly animated? Being stylized has nothing to do with the quality of the animation in an episode.

here's a better idea. Let the anime make cannon that the manga has to follow.
I'm not talking about going ahead of the manga in story. I'm talking about 3-5 episode arcs that cover different characters past. Like the Kakashi chronicles did in Naruto. The main problem here is the manga creator can't create fast enough. Why not let the anime people fill in the holes (with some guidance) that you never will. show us Ishens back story give us a Naruto x Hinata date arc. The reason filler sucks most of the time is because they have to make it a damn dream sequence that doesn't affect the rest of the story and that is BS.

With a competent writing and directing team that has talent to carry a show itself (as opposed to just blindly following the existing manga), hand over the reigns to give them a shot at creating original stories and fleshing out characters.

However, this is dangerous as bad filler can completely derail an entire series. See the entire filler season of Ruroni Kenshin that effectively caused the show to be canceled before the manga adaptation was completed.

Though I do find it strange that the manga end is the one that has a hard time keeping up. The television adaptation requires approximately 31,740 frames per episode. A manga chapter can't come close to this. Maybe utilizing computerization could improve output and increase the page count of the weekly offering.

At the end of the day, it's best to err on the side of caution and go with a hiatus. It doesn't hamper the success of shows in the Western world. We don't need 52 episodes a year.

The problem is the rapid style change mid-series, particularly when it shifts from a more "realistic" approach to something that would be more appropriate in Looney Tunes. The running animation in that episode looked more appropriate in a Wile E. Coyote episode than in Naruto and many others smacked of Tex Avery violence with the huge volumes of hits taken with no apparent effect. I was half expecting an anvil or a safe to fall out of the sky and birds spring up out of the wound.

The reason it feels "bad" is that the change is jarring. It may have been fine if this is how the series started from the beginning, but when presented with a particular art paradigm, deviating from the expected (apart from general artistic refinement that still remains in the scope of the style) will generally make the whole production seem low quality.

Hiatus or filler, it doesn't matter to me. I personally love the fillers of most animes. If it's terrible i'll just get on wiki and skip them all together and let the main story never stop, aka my own hiatus like many have said. The animation for naruto vs pain was phenominal, i believe one animator did that whole fight, and i'm all for that. I'd rather not have 55 people having their hands on a 10 minute fight, let one person it their way and let it be their style. All of those anime should be back, if they aren't, so what. It's not the end of the world

I'm going to lean on hiatus but I would be swayed by filler if in general they weren't so lousy.

For me it's just more enjoyable to watch when the episode is closely following the manga with a minimal amount of filler in it. I don't mind some things being fleshed out like battles but I hate it when they add flashbacks or fleshing out the more minor or uninteresting parts of the manga story line (for example the cataloging animals on the turtle island with recent Naruto episodes).

Most of the time, I would prefer the show go on hiatus than pad the series with some poorly written schlock.

There are a few good filler episodes floating around. For example, many of the Slayers filler episodes were actually quite fun, but overall, filler is a waste of one's life and the writers should be fired for creating such nonsense just to sell a few more DVDs or extend out an arc.

Bleach filler ... isn't that bad actually. I've enjoyed some of it, surprisingly. I just hope they bring Bleach back after the final arc is completed in the manga so they can just shoot through that, instead of starting it and putting filler in the middle.

Screw that dude I want season 2 of dead man wonderland love the avatar now lol

Ew, no. I loved Deadman Wonderland but the ending was bitter sweet as i don't know what. So, feeling empty, i read the manga. I'm a Anime fanboy, i hate manga, so when i say this it's true. The manga is 100x better than the Anime. The anime left so many details and characters out that it's almost a different story completely. Deadman Wonderland needs a re-make if anything, not a season 2.

I don't mind filler if the stories are well written and consistent with previous events. ie. The main characters are not all of a sudden weaker to justify a challenge vs new minor enemies. I also don't like to use the term filler quickly, as some anime simply don't follow the manga on purpose. Some writers like to change it up to keep it fresh. That being said, I think that filler is better, since it keeps the series in people's minds, rather than risking viewers forgetting it and less returning to it later. Plus, you can always skip filler stories, if you want, putting your own viewing on hiatus, you might say. With filler episodes, you at least have the choice of watching or not. With hiatus, you simply can't see it at all.
