Q. When I watch anime, it's obvious that cars are all over the place in Tokyo. But it's rare to see an anime character that actually drives a car.. Is it rare for a teenager to drive cars in Japan or is there a different age limit?

Q. Rapes and gang bangs are quite common in anime, and I'm probably guessing it's also common in real life Japan due to it's lack of police force. What is the Rape and gang bang rate in Japan?

1.The driving age in Japan is 18 or 19 I believe, just like Korea.

2. Their laws regarding sexual harrasment and such is extremely weak. Sometimes, even if people get raped, they don't even report it. Even if they do, they get a very weak punishment.

i've seen some crazy things happening in Japan.... You REALLY don't want to get near the Yakuza at all. It's pretty obvious, but here's what I found from Wikpedia awhile back.

This 16 year old girl, was kidnapped by 4 yakuza guys. and she was raped, and tortured with bottles, bats, and stuff like that. They tortured and raped her for like 4 weeks, and finally, she said she wanted to die. The yakuza guys oiled her, then burned her to death. She died due to shock. Lastly, they dumped her body in 40 gallons of cement. They got caught in the act, and the 4 guys have to pay about 1.9 mill in cash in total, and was sentence to jail for about 10 years. In my opinion, don't think that was enough.....

You are nothing but a disgusting plague on cultural information. First of all, the incident you stated has got no citations nor does it have any reference in "Wikpedia". i personally did a searched for any such incident but it just seems like all you wanted was some attention. Secondly, you are a bit TOO perverse for a 14 year old MINOR. what have you been watching on the television?? what have you been reading?? this is not a "fan-fiction" thead and CR is PG-13. go utilize your perverse skills elsewhere.

Thirdly, even though the yakuza are gang members, they got a code of honour, most notably like the samurai Bushidō, which is a samura's code of HONOR. although i`m not branding the yakuza as saints, i mean to say that they are not like the street muggers in canada.

You seem to base your claims on your "personal" experience with the yazuka? if that is so then you better not leave your room(which i`m sure you never do anyway) because they will get you the moment you blink your eye, you little prick.
I dont even need to explain, that your "views" on their laws are filled with crap, so i am not going to validate that with a retort.

People like YOU are the reason there is so much of communal & racial mistrust. already you got a few people believing you & your lies, which depresses me. i have refrained myself from flaming you to any large extent, but if you go post what you said in a blog, the people there will e-butcher you for your lies.

~ to the moderators, i have flamed that lier to some extent and i dont shun away from the fact that i might get reprimanded, but i loath insects like him who spread cultural disharmony among other people. it would have taken a smaller lie for him to be physically punished if he had said that IRL in front of a few thoughtful people ~

not all japanese parents are strict. They just want their children to get into good schools and have a good future. And people do not live in houses with paper walls. I think you are thinking of shouji.Shouji is a thin sheet of paper between rows and columns of rectangular wooden sticks. It's usually used as a decoration on a sliding door or window. Like they would have a thing of shouji seperating rooms in an apartment.

I don`t think the Japanese are better in drawing . I think they just have a different style .

Ehem , I`m assuming that the Japanese love their sushi because it is their food ... like how Americans love their burgers .
Correct me if I`m wrong , please .

Lies? I'm not lying. Yes, sure some parts might not be true, but some parts are. Also, I'm not saying that the whole yakuza is like that, but I'm just saying that some of them can be dangerous. I never had a personal experience with the Yakuza, but they are a crime organization afterall. I'm not spreading lies, or saying filthy lies to make Japan look bad. I love japan, but I'm just saying that you should be careful of things that can happen. It's just something I found while going around wikipedia. Wouldn't you be shocked to see something like that? I was.Since you seem so outraged by my post, I'll edit it.

what is the purpose of public baths? is it more of a hot tub thing. after showering you go sit in the jacuzzi to soak . they don't really wash in a tub with strangers do they. i know they have these public baths in other countries, not just asain ones, it's just somethig i never understood. i wouldn't shower in highschool gymclass unless they had individual shower stalls. i did that group shower one time, and then had my mom get a doctor's note excusing me from gym.

some of the apartments in japan are tend to be really2 small. some of them doesnt even have a shower, only a toilet. so public baths are the only place where they can go to take baths. it is a normal common thing for them to take baths in the public baths with strangers. but for some of them, even though they already have a bathroom in their houses, they go there mainly to have a dip in the hot tub. still the rule before you take a dip in the hot tub is that you have to take a bath first. so yeah it depends on where we grew up really, back where i grew up its strange thing to have baths or shower with other strangers. i dont think i could ever do that.

thanks for explaining that to me. how often is the water changed? in dramas you always see them in hot springs or what looks like over-sized hot tubs? that just seems so unsanitary to clean yourself in the same water as someone else. i could see showering seperately, then soaking together becuase that is more like swimming, but actual bathing is just to gross for me.
