In a perfect world, CR would have announced the license today, and spend the next 3 weeks rolling out the episodes of the first series. :)

If CR does pick it up they could easily rollout the first season all at once since it already has official English subs from the BDs. I'm under the impression that they only spread out releases if a) the series needs time to be subbed or b) it's a catalog title. Speaking of catalog titles, expect more Aniplex/Sentai series to be added, including 1 big name anime.

Does that BD have English subs? I don't recall Dog Days having any US licensing. Is it licensed in Austrailia or or did the Japanese BDs come out with English subs?

Not related to the summer series anime but:

According to Weekly Shonen Magazine, TV anime Code:Breaker was announced to be aired from this October. The first trailer will be streamed on the official website from June 20th.

My body's ready. Well, actually the manga will probably be worth checking out first.

i doubt CR will get dog days 2. if they get a sequel show it will be moyashimon returns since they been getting all the noitamina anime from sentai lately.

So, chances are that CR might also get Natsuyuki Rendezvous this summer?

Is there a specific reason you 't believe they will not get it?

Oh boy, even more anime to pique my curiosity. A bunch of interesting looking titles, but I won't really know for certain which ones are good until I see at least one episode.

most of the anime CR gets that are aniplex are sub licenses from them though time to time some are from sentai and dog days just doesnt seem like the type of anime they would license maybe sentai but i dont see aniplex of america picking up dog days.

That's only because most of Aniplex's recent stuff get licensed straight away. As far as I can remember the only Aniplex TV series from the last year (Summer 2011 onwards) that didn't have a simulcast was Natsuiro Kiseki, but Sunrise was also involved so it's hard to know who had the distribution rights.

And if you didn't realize Moyashimon is a Aniplex series too, so it's in the exact same situation.

Edit: It seems Funimation's simulcast of Kingdom isn't delayed after all. They have ep 3 up, so if the time they have stated is correct it's 6 hours after airing.

Chances are pretty good. Natsuyuki Rendezvous is a jousei series so Funimation is unlikely to bite. Sentai could license it since they have been licensing some NoitaminA series that Funimation doesn't.

@skyflame.... The Idolm@ster has Aniplex as its publisher, and that hasn't been licensed by a R1 anime company. I think Dog Days has a fair chance of being on Crunchyroll IF Funimation doesn't license it. Llamaben has pointed out that when the first season aired there was an Aniplex-wide lack of simulcasting, so chances are better now of Crunchyroll getting both. Moyashimon could be that "five year old" title that Funimation was hinting at licensing so we could be looking at a 40% chance of Crunchyroll getting that.

@llamaben. I looked at a few Aniplex-produced Sentai-licensed titles that aren't on Crunchyroll, but I probably don't have them all listed:
A-Channel
Angel Beats (that would be huge if Crunchyroll got that)
Guin Saga
Hidamari Sketch

And this is related to Fall anime, but the rumors are flying that Medaka Box 2 is going to be aired in the Fall.

The only hidden pages I found were Angel Beats, Guin Saga and Hell Girl 2/3. Of those Angel Beats already had it's pictures up.

Thinking that next week, either Tuesday or Wednesday, Crunchyroll will announce the continuing series and then the next day(Wednesday or Thursday), we'll see two or three announcements of which I strongly suspect we'll hear about Chitose Get You and Uta Koi . Since Crunchyroll has a panel at Anime Expo on Friday of next week, they'll wait until the panel to announce more, and I suspect that Crunchyroll will announce a few mid-tier to quite desireable anime, so maybe Tari Tari , Dog Days 2, La storia della Arcana Famiglia or Binbou-gami ga .

I also suspect that Funimation will announce a simulcast or two during Anime Expo as well.

I expect that as usual with Funimation, we'll have a long wait after that for their simulcasts to actually begin.

Given the scheduled date of Crunchyroll's panel, they could hold any further announcements until then, and still be two days ahead of when the next currently unlicensed anime series premieres.

On a different topic, those who maintain Fansub Wiki seem oblivious to the fact that CR announced they will be simulcasting Yuruyuri♪♪. Six days have passed and they still have it listed as unlicensed.
