The only thing I see that looks interesting from the card is Kingdom, which is already starting on Funimation. Other than that, I guess I have to hope that some "books" are better than their "covers".

Other than that, I guess I have to hope that some "books" are better than their "covers". I'll definitely be watching Yuruyuri♪♪ for my weekly dose of fun. I will be finishing Rinne no Lagrange, although I am not certain I will be watching it week-to-week as I did the first time around. I also plan on watching Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse, although I have yet to determine if I will watch it week to week, or wait until near the end of the season so that I can watch it at my own pace. If Dog Days Dash gets a simulcast, I'll probably watch it as well, especially if the first season is obtained. Personally, I have increasing got to the point where watching week-to-week is reserved for titles that have little in the way of a continuing plot (Yuruyuri♪♪), or which I expect will be neither bad nor great. While waiting can expose me to spoilers, a lot of that can be mitigated by starting up watching a few weeks before the season end, so that I am current for the final 1-2 episodes. On another topic, it seems Fansub Wiki has simply stopped updating their Summer 2012 listings. Aside from not updating that Yuruyuri♪♪ had been licensed by CR (which I noted in an earlier message), they haven't even bothered to mark Pocket Monsters: Best Wishes! Season 2 as having started airing in Japan, or the Kingdom simulcast as having began on Funimation. I can't tell if this has also affected the Fall listing, but about a week from now when CR starts announcing the next round of simulcasts should give a good indication if this could be a long term problem. |

Well, it takes all kinds to make the world. I am exactly the opposite: I have been as close to up to date as I ever get this season with shows were I am following the plot, like Fate/Zero, Miniskirt Space Privateers, Knight in the Area, and Kids on the Slope, and for series where I enjoy the show but either am not as focused on the plot, like Tsuritama and Space Bros., or there is no plot, like Polar Bear Cafe, I've been slipping by two, four or more weeks. OTOH, it seems like every summer I am looking at the chart and thinking I'll not find anything to watch, and then things turn up that I didn't expect, so I'll wait and see. |

I realize it is a wiki (it is in the name after all), but most wikis have a core group of people that perform regular updates, and one or more persons that maintain the site and would normally perform such mundane routine updates. My comment was meant to reflect that it appears it may have effectively become abandoned, or at least is on that path. Thanks for the alternate source. I will be keeping an eye on it to see how it performs, and likely will switch to it as one of the sources when beginning the Fall 2012 Anime topic. |

Poyopoyo and Folktales from Japan are now confirmed to continue into the Summer season, so it looks like CR will have at least 14 continuing simulcasts (Area no Kishi's status is still unconfirmed).
Including the 3 announced series and Horizon, that's 18 series so far. For the lineup to be the same size as last season they'll need to license at least 12 of the remaining 21 series (11 if Area no Kishi is continuing). |

As I had speculated earlier, Crunchyroll will be making their simulcast announcements at their Anime Expo panel on June 29:
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/press-release/2012-06-23/crunchyroll-to-announce-new-simulcasts-at-anime-expo-panel I think there is a good chance there will still be a few stragglers that won't be ready to announce by then, but there is little reason for them to announce anything more before then. |

It does sound like they'll be making the majority of their new simulcasts at Anime Expo. I wonder if on Thursday, they'll put up their continuing simulcasts and of course announce Horizon II , Yurumates 3D + , Uta Koi and whatever else they can announce at Anime Expo. Thinking that we may have a few announcements two or three weeks later since I am sure Sentai is going to be saving something for Otakon, and sublicenses always tend to be last. I also have a sneaking suspiction that we may hear about Crunchyroll streaming Angel Beats! at their panel too. |

I'm very curious on how many titles CR will be picking up this summer but I do see that Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere II is highly likely to be picked up.

Total Eclipse and Yuruyuri pages both have July 2 as the date the first episode will stream so Total Eclipse is looking like a delaycast.
Stil thinking: Total Eclipse: major English speaking countries Yuruyuri ♪♪ : Worldwide outside Japan (for premium members?) EDIT: I looked at the simulcast countdown times for both. Total Eclipse: July 2nd at midnight EDT/ July 1st at 9 p.m PDT Yuruyuri ♪♪: July 2nd at 2 p.m EDT/ 11 a.m PDT I don't know how to look at the availability. Total Eclipse seems to be near a 12 hour delay when it simulcasts. |

It's not so much the delay itself, but rather that it means I watch the series during the day instead of at night. I'm not really sure why but I enjoy waiting for series to come out at night (around 2-4am), and with my timezone a simulcast is basically the only way for that to happen consistently.
