So since SAO's pics are not up yet i take it that means that it really will be a nico nico japan title unfortunately which would mean a delay cast.

While that could be the case, it doesn't start until July 7 (U.S. time) so I would not take the missing info alone as being indicative of a delay. There are a number of other titles CR announced that are in the same boat (i.e., no pics or important information on their pages).

Looking forward to trying out Jinrui wa Sutai Shimashita, Natsuyuki Rendevous, Yuruyuri 2, La Storia Della Arcana Famiglia, and Tari Tari.

I'll probably try out Chitose Get You too, but my hopes aren't too high for that one. Sounds like it will be really funny or really stupid.

The Dakara H delay is no surprise... it airs on ATX first, and the PV showed nudity. So Crunchy had to wait for the censored version like with Queens Blade

The censoring and the timing are both from the same cause. ATX pays good money for pre-broadcast rights to uncensored material. The production committees will expect that the result is a drop in BD/DVD sales, and the ATX payment is expected to make up for that and more on top.

Crunchyroll is nowhere near being in a financial position to get into a bidding war with ATX for pre-broadcast rights, nor in a position to bid for uncensored material. If Crunchyroll keeps growing, it might get there, but its not there yet.

Please PM me too, llamaben. (about binbou-gami ga).

I wonder why Uta Koi didn't get announced though. Maybe NIS America has it?

Ordinarily, I wouldn't even think Funimation would be interested in Uta Koi, but they are streaming Kingdom so maybe they saw the trend of people wanting them to license Chihayafuru, and hopped on the karuta bandwagon.

Although NIS America did license Brave 10, which was a Media Factory series so there is also that possibility too.

I cannot be too surprised at Funimation getting Binbou-gami ga! though. I wonder what name they are going to call it though if they wind up getting home video rights.

@TheAncientOne Chitose Get You is showing that it simulcasts on Sundays 1 p.m EDT/ 10 a.m PDT

@skyflame. Typically, Nico Nico doesn't annouce that they will stream a big Aniplex show "worldwide" until a few days before the premiere. And Aniplex USA could easily annouce that they have Sword Art Online at Otakon. (Otakon is where they announced OreImo last year, and Otakon is the biggest anime convention on the East Coast and the 2nd biggest anime convention in the country)

This is going to create the unusual situation of having a simulcast that isn't a new series for the season. Off the top of my head, the only time before I can recall that happening was with Bleach. To clarify, I mean a simulcast that starts outside the season the series premiered in.

Updates to initial message:

Added simulcast time and premiere date for Chitose Get You!!
Added information on Crunchyroll simulcast of Cardfight!! Vanguard: Asia Circuit
Added information on Funimation simulcasts of Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero (Hagure Yūsha no Aestetica) and Binbogami ga!
Added section with links to all Site News forum topics for Crunchyroll simulcast announcements for summer 2012
Hid reduced size displayed chart and series list behind spoiler tags to reduce initial displayed length
