I'll probably try out Chitose Get You too, but my hopes aren't too high for that one. Sounds like it will be really funny or really stupid.

Crunchyroll is nowhere near being in a financial position to get into a bidding war with ATX for pre-broadcast rights, nor in a position to bid for uncensored material. If Crunchyroll keeps growing, it might get there, but its not there yet.

Ordinarily, I wouldn't even think Funimation would be interested in Uta Koi, but they are streaming Kingdom so maybe they saw the trend of people wanting them to license Chihayafuru, and hopped on the karuta bandwagon. Although NIS America did license Brave 10, which was a Media Factory series so there is also that possibility too. I cannot be too surprised at Funimation getting Binbou-gami ga! though. I wonder what name they are going to call it though if they wind up getting home video rights. @TheAncientOne Chitose Get You is showing that it simulcasts on Sundays 1 p.m EDT/ 10 a.m PDT http://www.crunchyroll.com/chitose-get-you @skyflame. Typically, Nico Nico doesn't annouce that they will stream a big Aniplex show "worldwide" until a few days before the premiere. And Aniplex USA could easily annouce that they have Sword Art Online at Otakon. (Otakon is where they announced OreImo last year, and Otakon is the biggest anime convention on the East Coast and the 2nd biggest anime convention in the country)
