dark_pride wrote: FUNi had Season 1, don't expect them to get it. Also, doesn't Saki supposed to have 3 additional episodes (for a total of 15 episodes)? Funimation only had the live action series. The original Moyashimon anime was a fall 2007 series that predates not only their noitaminA agreement, but AFAIK, their first simulcast. As to Saki, Fansub Wiki lists no count, FansubDB lists 12, while Countdown lists the 15, but notes the series ends on July 2, with the schedule for the additional 3 episodes listed as "TBA". |

Hmmm Crunchyroll has until tomorrow morning to announce it and be on time. I'm not very confident about Crunchyroll simulcasting Moyashimon Returns at this point. Maybe 15 to 20 % chance. Also wondering why it seemed that there was supposed to be an announcement yesterday and it never happened. Complex negotiations for more than one season of a series? Sublicense snaggles? And I forgot to mention that Jinrui's page had the simulcast times match the Crunchyroll article when I checked that yesterday. Just today, Natsuyuki Rendezvous finally has its simulcast time up on the page and it matches the Crunchyroll article time too. I do wonder why the appox. 3 hour delay when both NoitaminA series didn't have that kind of delay in Spring. |

Regarding Jinrui, I was expecting they would change it back to the originally announced time before the second episode. I will have to remember to remove the "..., which is currently listed as the simulcast time)" section when I update the initial message after the next announcement. Speaking of which, I can only assume that as you mentioned, either something happened at the last moment that threw off the schedule, or that next simulcast announcement was actually supposed to be listed as "7/?" but the next day's date was put in by mistake. |

Sword Art Online isn't shown on the upcoming schedule, even though it airs on Saturday. Guess we can assume thats a delaycast.

I don't think Tari Tari was either. I expect they will update it at the last minute. I hope it isn't delayed, especially since Sunday is so full! If they delay it to Sunday or Monday, it will bottle up that part of the week too much!

Why do licensors hate Moyashimon so much? First, no one picked up the first season. Then, they droppped the manga after two volumes. There isn't even any scans past the 1st volume. It's such a nice series, yet no one wants it. Given that evidence, I don't think Crunchyroll will pick up Moyashimon Returns, because they're meanies.

Crunchyroll is not like a R1 anime company where they have to pick and chose what they can release on home video. Crunchyroll tries to get everything and said at their AX panel this year that they aim for as close to 100% of what is airing as possible. So Crunchyroll doesn't pick and chose, they get what they can get. Which leads to two scenerios. 1. Somebody has licensed Moyashimon Returns and the first series, and they are waiting until Otakon(in a few weeks or so) to announce it. This could be one of Funimation's announcements there. 2. Somebody on the Japanese side of things like a member of the anime production committee doesn't want Moyashimon streamed or has set up some pretty strigent conditions for licensing (like Dennou Coil ) Point is, it's not Crunchyroll who are the "meanies" |

Crunchyroll doesn't pick and chose simulcasts based on any preferences, so if they don't get it, that simply means either they would not license it, or asked for a higher minimum guarantee than they thought they could recoup. Keep in mind that for simulcasts, no one was doing that when the first series aired (fall 2007). |
