TheAncientOne wrote: AFAIK, Kadokawa doesn't have any special relationship with Funimation, and it is questionable whether NicoNico.com is going to be in the simulcast game for the summer season. It seems clear at this point they aren't going to factor into the spring season, as we are now almost 2/3 of the way through and still nothing from them.

If they are building toward a big increase in NicoNico.com presence in simulcasting, Fall would be the natural target season, its conventionally considered the strongest season, and Summer the weakest.

Next weekend should be exciting, since BK said the big announcement is next week in time for A-kon. It would be interesting if it somehow related to getting worldwide access to more anime.

I can guess that Uta Koi and Oda Nobuna no Yabou will be worldwide outside of Japan for premium members on Crunchyroll if the pattern from Spring holds. Oda Nobuna is also the latest starting of the shows that we know the premieres of.

Also, next weekend is also the premiere for Kingdom. If Crunchyroll is somehow going to stream it, they'd probably announce it sometime in the next week.

Regarding Kingdom, I'm not holding out much hope for that, since it is on NHK's premium service (like Ginga e Kickoff!! this season). Assuming they also broadcast it later on their OTA stations (again like Ginga e Kickoff!!), there might be a small chance, but that would also mean any simulcast would be delayed until after that.

As to the announcement, I hope it relates directly to more content. If it was availability of CR on the PS3 and/or XBOX 360, that would bring in a lot of new subscribers, which would also lead to more content. I have my doubts that is it, however, as back in November in the Funico topic in the Premium Members section, BasouKazuma stated:

Anyway, even before this Funico thing, we were already working on something that will put us one more big step ahead of them. Can't say what but this one thing will pretty much secure Crunchyroll as the place for Anime online. Wouldn't really matter how much money or how many connections they have.

Given that, I don't see an app on a major game console as being it, as there is no apparent reason Funimation couldn't do the same at some point.

Hmm, perhaps CR will be announcing they are being acquired by Google.

You are going to have to wait a while. The announcements are typically done about 1-2 weeks before the season starts. So, you'll probably start hearing announcements late June.

My priority list:
High
Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon II
Rinne no Lagrange 2
Moyashimon Returns
Yuru Yuri ♪♪

Medium
Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse
Sword Art Online
Tari Tari

Low
Kingdom

I haven't decided about anything else yet. Kingdom apparently starts next week, but I'm overtasked on anime so I'll probably wait to see what other people think before I really give it a shot.

Berserk movie...

Other then then that nothing really catch my eye, but Kingdom could be interesting, mostly because the story location is interesting to me.

But I am not one awaiting any anime eagerly other then a new season of Hajime No Ippo.

The only one I'm super super excited for is Dog Days season 2. The PV makes season 2 look like it will be lots of fun and won't stray from all the action that was in the first season.

I will also definitely try to see the Nanoha movie.

The rest of the shows I feel like I will most likely give a few episodes and drop.

CR started the announcements last season rather close to the simulcast premieres (with a couple of exceptions I'll explain later). As I doubt they will get any of the 3 titles premiering in June, the first likely simulcast(s) will start on July 1, and given that June 30 is on a Saturday, I expect the first announcement to be on June 28 or 29. Although 3 series start on July 1 (in U.S. time), I predict Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse will be the first announcement.

Regarding the exceptions last season, one was OZMA, which was an earlier starter. The other was Nyarko-san. CR got the license for it and the earlier Flash animated shorts early enough they decided to premiere the shorts on a rolling schedule leading up to the premiere of the regular series. Even if they had not had announced they would have been simulcasting the series, the cat would essentially been out of the bag on this one.

The only two series I see where CR could put another "Nyarko-san" where they could license an earlier series, and then announce they would be streaming the sequel starting in July would be Moyashimon Returns and Dog Days' (Dog Days Dash). There really isn't any precedent to judge CR's chances of getting Moyashimon, as none of the other noitaminA series they have licensed had an earlier series. While I would love to see them get both Dog Days series, I'll have to put the new Dog Days series on my "surprised if anyone obtains a simulcast" list (although CR managed to get series on that list of mine in both Fall 2011 and Winter 2012).

Added premiere date and time for Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate (Love, Election & Chocolate).

Dog Days does share a lot in common with Working and Bake/Nisemonogatari, namely that the first season of Dog Days was also handled by Aniplex (I say first season because I can't find S2 on their lineup page which is otherwise up to date).

Dog Days was part of the season where none of Aniplex's series were simulcast (Ano Hana, Dog Days, A-Channel, maybe more I'm forgetting?). The exception to this is Ao no Exorcist, but that was from Aniplex USA. I think it's fair to assume that the reason it didn't get simulcast was because of an Aniplex-wide issue, rather than a title-specific reason.

Also S1 already has official subs, so if CR gets S2 it could be launched all at once.

The most recent news was that To Love-ru Darkness would be both an OAD and a TV series, with the TV series coming later.

As to Rosario + Vampire, as much as I would like to see another season, I think it is past the "expiration date" for a continuation. Also, from what I understand from those that read the manga, the second season would cause problems continuing with stories based on the manga. Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing a reboot down the road that was more faithful to the manga.

As for a third Sora no Otoshimono series, keep in mind that both previous series aired in the fall, so there is little reason to expect them to deviate from that.

Basically, what the TheAncientOne said: last week of June unless Crunchyroll gets the early preview airing of an anime or gets a package deal where they roll out previous anime before the new anime.

Crunchyroll has a 95% chance of getting Uta Koi , Yuru Yuri 2 and Oda Nobuna no Yabou because they are all TV Tokyo series.

Crunchyroll has a greater than 70% chance of getting Chitose Get You!! (Takeshibo) and Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita (Marvelous) because of producer relationships.

I'll make my own prediction: CR's first annoucement will be Tari Tari (If I were being totally safe, I'd say Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita ) on June 27(Wednesday) or June 28(Thursday).
