Hey guys,
We are continuing our spring announcements with the addition of: Saint Seiya Omega!!! This continuation of this amazingly classic series will be available to the following territories: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. For those who can't wait to figure out what it's about, check this out: “Saints are champions of hope who have always appeared since the Age of Myth whenever evil threatens the world. They would clad themselves in armor called Cloths, and fight to protect Athena, the goddess who rules the world's surface. Seiya the Pegasus Saint has saved Athena many times, and while he and his friends are Bronze Saints, which is the lowest rank, their battles have been passed down as legend. The god of war and guardian of his namesake planet, Mars, was once sealed away by Seiya, but time has passed and his revival is at hand. Meanwhile, Saori Kido (Athena) is raising the boy Kouga, whose life Seiya saved, and he's been training every day to become a Saint in order to prepare for the coming crisis... Unaware of his destiny, when Kouga awakens to the power of his Cosmo hidden inside him, the curtain will rise upon the legend of a new Saint!” Earlier today we announced: You and Me 2. It starts next Monday, April 2nd at 10am PDT. If you haven't watched Season 1 yet, you still have time to marathon it over the weekend before Season 2! Friends since kindergarten and seemingly like blood brothers, YOU AND ME. follows the lives of Yuta and Yuki Asaba, Shun Matsuoka and Kaname Tsukahara; as well as transfer student Chizuru Tachibana who joins the circle of friends. Together we will watch as they laugh, dance, cry and share the memories of growing up together in everyday life. The change in regions is interesting, first season was worldwide outside Asia for premium members. I wonder what caused the change.
Edit: This is the exact same regions as folk tales from Japan, is this the new TV Tokyo standard? |

Will it only be for this anime or will it be same for the other upcoming simlucasts? Personally, I think it would be better to do this with all new series so no one will write "Damn, this series isn't available in my location!" or similar. It would make at least most of the members satisfied. |

Yes it is a beautiful phrase, and I am sure that premium members in Asia are glad to get at least one full length non-children's series this season. And now we know why You and Me 2 was in the below half of the lineup page rather than the top half like Fate/Zero. Be interesting to see if the next annoucement is Shiba Inuko-san (a short), Zetman or Saint Seiya Omega (which premieres tomorrow) or something else. |

But the licensors don't normally have an English language forum available to vent the frustration. When its someone from the UK complaining about getting a majority of anime but not every single one, after Anime-On-Demand gave a strong idea of the limited number of streaming licenses a UK site could get by going it alone instead of pooling in with the North American market ... I sometimes get a little annoyed. I don't get annoyed by it if its someone from somewhere like Germany or Costa Rica or Singapore or Angola ... they really have been getting the short end of the stick. I hope this "premium members outside of Japan" is a trend this season, and not just a handful of bright spots ... but even if its just a handful of bright spots, that's still way better for most of Europe, most of Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia than they had it last season. |
