chrome_mist wrote: Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Major (Series) Comment: One of the best anime I have ever seen. I honestly don't think any other baseball anime could top that. I originally didn't like sports anime, but one day I got bored and decided to check One Outs out. I wasn't disappointed. Baseball IS a great game. The more I watched anime about it, the more I fell in love with it. Major is by far the best out of the three baseball anime I've watched recently. One Outs is obviously better when it comes to mind games and stuff, while Ookiku focused more on the game itself. Major, though not as detailed as the other two about baseball, was the one I enjoyed the most. The drama part of it helped a lot! Goro Shigeno is one of those characters that you can't help but love. Manly, determined and extremely talented. Even though he gets like an injury all the time, he never gives up and will do everything to win. Though Major is not your typical anime where the main character always wins. He loses too (and a lot of times too) but his determination just won't let him end up like that. One of the best main characters I've ever seen. I remember crying at least twice each season. Truly a masterpiece. Rating: Season 1: 9 Season 2: 9 Season 3: 9 Season 4: 9 Season 5: 10 Season 6: 10 OVA: World Series 10 OVA: Message 9 Recommended? MOST DEFINITELY ABSOLUTELY 100% YES Wow Chrome, you're practically recommending all the anime baseball series there is! Now you make me want to continue Major. I stopped at season 3 since I used to catch it on TV. Anyway, I think you should check out Cross Game if you need another baseball series. It's not as great as Major but pretty enjoyable if you like slice of life themes. |

MOST DEFINITELY ABSOLUTELY 100% YES Now, I'm tempted to watch Hmm, last anime I've completed... Name of Anime: Betrayal Knows My Name Comment / Review: Not too shabby. The art is nice, it's a bishounen anime so this might be something shoujo fans might be interested, and the OP song is somewhat catchy. However, there is a big problem with the series: the storyline. There is practically none. Also, there's little character development and the ending seems blend. Additionally, there were many unanswered questions. Oh sure, there are a few good scenes, a somewhat meaningful backstory (that was barely touched upon except through a few flashbacks), and some fight scenes. But overall, I didn't really enjoy this series. Rating: 5 out of 10 Recommended: No, but if you're a fan of shoujo series, it "might" be worth checking out. Betrayal Knows My Name was really bad. I would actually have given it a 3. You're pretty nice for giving it a 5. I like shoujo series but this is just so boring and unmemorable. I almost forgot I actually finished this. |

It gets better by the season imo. And what a coincidence lol I just finished watching Cross Game like an hour ago. |

Was thinking of making a thread like this yeasterday, about time this section got one.
Well I completed one yeasterday, first one in a long time now :P Ano Natsu de Matteru 9/10 The artwork was pretty nice, the backgrounds too(I normally don't check out the backgrounds). The romance, comedy, sad scenes and all of it was nice. I recommend it. About the final ep: Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Was hoping that Ichika would show up in another way instead of the way she did. But I'm ok with it, since she did come back. But hope they'll make some kind of epilogue or season 2, explain how she came back. |

The only thing is that I wanted a sad ending....u know him waiting for alien girl every summer..LOL. |

You should check out Moshidora! I like the OP plus it's short, only 11 episodes. Although since it's that short, you probably won't see that much ball action. I haven't seen this anime yet but I know it's about baseball as well. I think you should try it if you have some time. The title is Taisho Baseball Girls. |

Name of Anime: Spiral
Comment / Review: Meh, I thought it would be better but this mystery series didn't turn out to be what I wanted to see. The art is dull, the ending is ambiguous, and the story doesn't keep up well. The only part I liked about the series are some of the compelling characters specifically the Blade Children. Rating: 5 of 10 Recommended: No. The manga is better with even more character development and their styles. The storyline also follows quite smoothly according to a review I've read. However, if you're interested in checking out a mystery series without too much brain spiral, then this might be a series for you. However for now, I do not recommend this. |

Is This a Zombie?
Comment/review: I was relatively surprised with this series. It gave me plenty of entertainment all the way through. This is a show that I feel I can watch multiple times without losing interest. It is a bit raunchy with its jokes, so many people may not like it for those reasons, but if you like a little dark humor and the idea of a male zombie magical garment girl(fully equipped with panty shots), busty vampire ninjas, cute necromancers and chainsaw wielding magical girls, then you won't be disappointed here. ;P Rating: 9/10 |

Lagrange: the Flower of Rin--ne: Until this anime was produced I always associated Lagrange with a large US diesel locomotive manufacturing spread owned by General Motors, but that's real world.
This anime can be viewed on Viz anime via Hulu: Preferred this series over Bodacious Space Pirates because even though graphics and animation were as good the writers in this series chose to develop the storyline where interaction against a perceived enemy occurred in a quicker time frame. I was really impressed with the fluidity of motion when the space planes metamorphosed into EVA-like space robots while in flight. As for the plot I'd rate it 7/10. The saving grace is watching Madoka overcome her trust issue fears in 12 episodes. However, if you like uplifting, high-spirited music do watch the opening scenes introducing the 3 female protagonists while Megumi Nakajima sings the opener song "Try Unite". The animation showing the 3 ladies transforming within via an animated form of biomorphic aura in concert with a hyper fluid aurora borealis lighting up the horizon is some of the best opener artistry I've viewed lately. As for the opener of the first 10 or so episodes I'd rate that animation 10/10. Recommended: it's OK. Entertaining. Nice animation with a few predictable psuedo-surprises. |

I really love psychological/gamble/high stakes type animes so I searched for some akagi recommendations. I pretty much watched all that was recommended such as kaiji, one outs etc. Legendary gambler came up and I watched all ep in 2 days it was pretty good not as good as kaiji and akagi but still pretty darn good. 8/10 we need more animes like these |
