Once upon a time there were two brothers, Hibito and Mutta. Hibito, the littler brother, had been blessed with good luck since the day he was born. Mutta, the elder, had always had bad luck. One day, looking up at the night sky, the two brothers saw a UFO. This experience made them both promise to become astronauts.

In the year 2025, Hibito has kept his promise and is an astronaut who is part of the first wave of people to live for an extended period of time on the moon. Meanwhile, his older brother Mutta has been fired from his job and is unemployed, but a message from his brother makes him decide to start being an astronaut again.

Unaware of his own talent, elder brother Mutta chases his dreams to get back in front of his younger brother. 32-year-old Mutta will attempt the astronaut candidate examinations to follow his brother Hibito to the moon believing the words "The older brother should always be ahead of the younger one..."

I liked it a lot. A space show, for adults, grounded in realism? Definitely my kind of show. Since I haven't read any of the manga, I'm can't wait to see the tech side of the show.

As for the ED, they look more than a little like Beavis & Butthead. lol

Episode 1.

That was a good start.
Actually, that was surprisingly good. I wasn't originally planning on picking this up but thank god I did
because I was really impressed. I liked the narration. It was very well done.
I didn't like the OP and ED though. They were kinda boring.

Can't wait for the next ep.

Yeah, I think Mutta might still pull a Cornholio a some point! Plus who hasn't had a boss they didn't want to headbutt sometimes.

Anyway, I am looking forward to this series and even the live-action movie that CR announced a couple of weeks back. It's a welcome change of pace. If only the release time wasn't 10 p.m.

Wow... They do kind of resemble Beavis and Butthead... Coincidence? I'm not sure what to think...

I wasn't expecting to like this one much, but the first episode is promising in my opinion. A rare anime, it seems, that features actual adult characters.

What I remember about the first episode is when they showed Zidane headbutting the Italian player. Brings back memories of that world cup ^_^;

Episode 2.

Another good episode.
I really like the pacing. It may be slow to some but I find it perfect for this kind of anime.
Also, 2 new characters were introduced. And one of them was .

Can't wait for the next episode!

I love this series so far. Unfortunately, it seems like it's flying under the radar for most. I wonder how many people who say that modern anime is nothing but moeblob fanservice shows are completely ignoring this series?

Yea, I am also loving this series aswell. Reminds me of anime they would make in the 90s/early20s (lol?) Anyway, it is hard to ignore the fact that this sort of anime are rare nowadays and anime is currently a moeblob fanservices. Which, I do not mind for the reason that quality always overcome quantity in my own opinion.

I think this series is a set change from anything I've ever seen before, even the stuff from ten years ago or older. For example:

1) No antagonistic relationship between the brothers
2) Mutta isn't a screwup - he's was an award winning auto engineer before getting fired

We haven't gotten to the meat of the story yet, but I'm digging the realism of the story. That's just my opinion, but this series is on the top of my list as the best of the season.

This series is turning out to be amazing. A realistic journey of a man a bit down on his luck trying to realize his dream as an astronaut as he moves forward in his daily life. It's interesting.

This gem is shining so bright it's sad that there will be people who miss it because they're so immersed in average shounen titles, among other variety.

Quite. The pacing is really good and it helps the show a lot. The story is progressing without sacrificing time for small tidbits that add to the charm of the show.
