ITs ok that its slow .
IIt works for this anime. I already knew what the end was because I saw the manga at the bookstore but man ....watching the drama unfold is just amazing. I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I almost did cry man . I was about to burst ...The emotions are so real . Can you imagine being in his shoes. Adult will takes a little bit longer before the Blood oxygen level go into dangerous level. . With HIbito's situation, he is experiencing suffocation and then passing out sensation. HIs brain still has oxygen , its just the sudden drop of oxygen level and his heart still beats .Now if HIbito trained his body in free diving then his body would shift into that mode in order to compensate. But at the same time Hibito was fully aware of his plight . The acting was really well done. Although there was one line that is wrong, its not atsui at all. But it was the longest 1 minute ever ...lol I sure love this show. |

I've liked this show from the beginning, but during the relatively mundane first half didn't imagine a turn to serious suspense and danger in the later episodes, nor that they'd do it so well. I sure love this show. |

I don't mind that it's slow - it really does build up the tension. Also it's nice to have that character build up too, it matters when the main characters have a real issue like Hibito.
Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Brian is fast becoming one of my favourite characters. It's the way he annoys and inspires Hibito in equal amounts! To sum up this week's episode: |

lol...
love the summary pics there... phoenixUPdate Episode 44 The conclusion of the HIbito Space Accident. I really love this story on Hibito's side. We finally get to see more of Hibito in a very serious situation and all the emotions that went with it. Episode 44 sure made me cry in the end. I am so happy that we have this anime , this one is really close to my heart. How many peeps still watch this show? There are only a few comments here . |

Still watching! Will watch until the end surely now after having spent nearly a day of my life watching so far LOL. And it is good too, emotional, fun. Slow at times but still good.

Damm is this anime really ending at 48? Anyway, I really like how they show some predeparture scenes of the girls and Mutta in his jumpsuit was funny .Heck I would question that too . |

No, it's not ending at 48. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2013-01-30/japan-ytv-to-move-space-brothers-to-saturday I don't think it has a set number of episodes, but if they are talking about showing it on Saturday in April, then we've quite a few episodes left in the show. |

I was quite worried that it was going to end for a minute there. It was a good episode to introduce the next part. It was nice to see a bit more of Ena since we've not had much background on her. But yeah Mutta in the airport in his suit was genius. |

I must have missed that news... thanks .ANN needs to update their page ....
I have seen the latest manga at the japanese bookstore and I would love to see that part animated. The new character trainer astronaut Vincent Bold ( is he suppose to be american lol ?) is voiced by Kenjiro Tsuda. He has a very distinctive voice and I am glad he is getting roles here and there lately . I wished I was able to meet him a while back ...He is in Kingdom as one of the generals and was a main character in K Project .He always play a bad ass most of the time but he was Fire Emblem in Tiger and Bunny |

Yeah he has got a very distinctive voice. I recognised his voice from Hakuouki where he was Chikage Kazama.

iashakezula wrote: ... The new character trainer astronaut Vincent Bold ( is he suppose to be american lol ?) ... Yup, pretty sure he's supposed to be an American. At first I wasn't sure what we were supposed to think of him, I was finding him slightly annoying but am so used to mainstream American tv and movies using those characteristics as things to like in a character, that I wasn't sure I was supposed to be annoyed. But by the end, yeah, definitely being portrayed as annoying bordering on obnoxious (but not really a "bad" character.) It's going to be fun to see how Mutta responds to him! And also how, if the character sticks around long enough, they'll no doubt work on making him more likable in spite of those obnoxious "bold" American flaws. |

bold...I actually like Tsuda san although his range is small but I do like that sexy voice of his. This anime is one of my all time favorite along with the action thriller Psycho Pass. The writting are excellent in my book..The progression and development of the of the characters are not forced at all.Although this one is a slow paced anime compared to Psycho Pass. But for me the characters and how they are written are very important. If I connect with the characters then that determines the quality of the anime. Because it shows what the author really feels towards the characters he/she create .. and of course the story as well if its really an inspired work or if its written to please the editor/publisher. Anyway.. It will be interesting indeed how the interactions between Mutta and him comes out ...I cant wait to see that ... |

Having been in the military myself, and an American; I've seen my share of guys like "BOLD"...lol I'm not to keen on the name, a bit cliche, but it'll work. I'm definatley giving the edge to MUTTA! "Bold" type characters, and I do mean 'CHARACTERS", are great in a training world where most of life follows a pre-determined set course. In the real world of constantly changing, (sometimes violently so) environments, I've seen more than one 'BOLD" go to pieces in a heartbeat, because they can't keep up with fast unpredictable changes. Now He's about to Mutta! The protagonist who never has anything normal or predictable happening to him. HA-HA-HA! With some creative writnig, Bold may have an emotional meltdown and learn something from the newbie. That would be nice to see anyway.... The 'BLUE SUIT" gag almost made me regret some of my pranks about sending guys for 'left handed monkey wrenches', 'roles of flight line', and the infamous EYEDEETENTEE forms- I-D-10-T..... IDIOT. (ok i''m sure you get it) lol |
