Just a damn good relaxing anime but since it doesn't have explosions and tits I'm guessing it doesn't capture the CR audience quite as well.

Although there is that possibility that the CR audience aren't discussing it. I, for one, have been keeping up with this anime but just haven't been vocal about it. There's not really much to say in the first place because each episode closes neatly. This is one of those animes, you've just watch and enjoy the overall experience.

I look forward to watching this every Sunday morning since I love the characters. It's well written, thoughtful, and just a good show overall. But I expect it doesn't appeal to a lot of people because of the reasons already stated. I'm Ok with that.

Can't say I disagree with you, I hope we're going to get a faster paced arc. Overall, I really enjoy this series. I was one of those kids that wanted to be an astronaut when they grew up. A half-ass way to judge the relative popularity of a show is to look at how many times an episode has been rated and how many comments are being given per episode. Compare those to a popular show like IDK SAO or Naruto and the numbers are significantly lower. Still, there is a possibility of you being right but it also doesn't appear on many peoples list for "Best anime of 2012" or the like that is in the forums. Adding all that up I just don't think it's as popular as I would like it to be but ce la vie I guess. Totally agree with the last sentence though. No matter what mood I'm in Space Brothers is an anime I can always watch.

My meetup club's theme this month is SPace , so I am rooting for it so the members vote for this . So later on I can say " to the moon Alice !!" ,ha ha ha. This is my most favorite anime for 2012 so far, thisis one anime I can watch over and over again and next would be Sakamichi . As for Episode 24, I still love the APO alarm clock method. My little dogs do that to my hubby every morning ha ha ha and it doesnt matter if you have a hockey mask or not ha ha ha. I checked those lawnmower and a company Grainger sells them , its called a Ariens Sitdown Mower although the anime version drawing is simplified. Another brand that makes them is John Deere but their color is different so I think they based it on is mostlikely the Ariens Model #99280600 , it cost a little over 12 thousand dollars, its a car man . It aint cheap, it has a Kawasaki engine but the entire mower is built in the US EVen though it seem slow but I still like the pacing of this anime ,its very relaxing, and I still laugh at many Mutta scenes ....but the names man, what the hell is Lowry Coumo? !!!

I shall try not to let the inaccuracies ruin the show for me (riding mowers and lunar rovers are not close; current astronauts do not take part in the selection committee or did I miss that Azuma is retired now?; the NASA astronaut centrifuge was retired in 1999). Shows about grim reapers, 5kg girls from weight crab attacks and ghosts don't bother me somehow... Oh and Hibito not telling his backup how ridiculous looking his suzushii shirt was... perhaps he told him it is the right word for that meaning of cool. Wish they'd explained more.
