That totally describes the way this anime plays out, and how the story is told. This is a true slice-of-life show. It is all about watching the path that Hibito's and Mutta's life takes.

Once the commercial launch capabilities get good enough, I expect we'll see more of a joint venture. The expectation is that NASA will be able to get it done cheaper by buying launches from these companies.

its pretty much that the direction NASA will take , it will be cheaper for them to get other company form other country to do those launches. NASA will do the training part etc etc. I read about this many many years ago..

I totally agree. I loved it.

I'm too young to remember Apollo 11, but this brought back a lot of memories of the later Apollo missions. Very moving indeed.

well until the end of this season as far as I know..but I remembered a note that is was only planned ofr 41 episodes but now I could not find it , so it is possible they are continuing this anime. It is doing well in the ratings.Also ANN is saying there are 38 episodes. So I dont know anymore.

Ahh the lastest epsiode 34

Scenes from Hibito on the moon.

Mutta is back in Japan with Apo. Its a nice one about him getting good luck becuase of Apo in a way I feel bad for Apo becuase the time is different, he has no more yard, he has no wide open space park to run around . I have a few small pet dogs myself since I live in a house and I know how important the backyard is to them.

MAL still doesn't list an episode count. Would they follow Mutta after he is selected through all of his training and his flight or not? I guess time will tell.

33 and 34 were good. Hibito seems really odd for an astronaut though, going off script a lot. The air check suspense was a bit silly, surely they have a way to know if the place is safe! The ISS does.

That episode as nice but again this show really draws things out... Next week we find out if Seika gets in. Perhaps the week after that we will find out about Mutta. Three episodes to hear three yesses... Yes, I know, Makabe's episode was nice but slow.

I didnt expect they would spend 1 entire episode on Makabe's story , it did felt slow .

But .... I could have jump and skip but I waited and watched the entire story unfold. It felt good watching it.

I loved this episode. I've always liked Makabe, so finally learning about his life was great. The guy is pretty damn cool, despite his haircut. ;)

Anyway, I've got no problem with spending an entire episode on this, nor the pacing of the episode. While Mutta is the "star" of the series, the show has always been about more than just him. If they spend another entire episode on Serika, I won't mind at all.

Serika's turn.

That was a sad story but a good one.

You know I ask a lotof my anime friends if they are watching this and they seem to have drop this anime just because the new season started , so I keep reminding them that they are missing a really good anime
