Hmm I thought Sankarea was getting released this month. With BRS getting an unfortunate pass (that looked soooo cool) at least they'res Nyaruko. But I thought it was starting 4/9 not 4/5 (since it isnt on the list for this week on the main page)?

The polar bear anime look childish to me, but Sengoku Colleciton: Parallel World Samurai seem like an interesting anime that I would take an look into. It's like taking someone from 1600 from the past in the future. Which would be altering the time line in a way, yet at the same time.

Kept up the good work, Crunchy ^^

I was crossing my fingers that cr would pick up Polar Bear Cafe, and then they did. This just made my day.

Sankarea premieres April 6 at 1:55 AM in Japan, which would be April 5 in the United States.

Be more surprised if Sankarea is announced today or tomorrow than not, as it is a TBS series. For those that don't understand what that means, let me just say that TBS series are rarely simulcast, and even more rarely on CR, and when it happens, expect a delay. The best bet for CR getting it is if Sentai licenses it, and CR has a cooperative simulcast as with a number of titles in the winter season. Even then, don't be surprised if it isn't announced until one of the anime conventions this weekend.

As to BRS, it didn't get a "pass", it was licensed to Nico Nico Douga (niconico.jp) for worldwide streaming, but unlike Fate/Zero, CR was unable to obtain a license for a delayed simulcast. NicoNico.com got it, but even they were not able to start it until the series was nearly over (and won't post the final two episodes until this Friday).

Can you point to that article? The news articles sometimes ask if people would be interested in seeing an anime on CR, but I've never seen one announce it before the official announcement.

Medaka Box aired about 1.5 hours ago in Japan, so even if CR does have it, it is clear the announcement has been delayed for some reason, which could mean the simulcast itself will also be delayed in relation to the first station in Japan to broadcast it.

http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2012/03/05-1/crunchyroll-adds-nyarko-san-another-crawling-chaos-to-spring-anime-line-up

Crunchyroll continues to get a jump on the spring anime season with today’s announcement of Nyarko-san: Another Crawling Chaos (AKA Haiyore! Nyaruko-san).

Based on the light novel by Manta Aisora with illustrations by Koin, Nyarko-san is heavily inspired by the writings of H.P. Lovecraft, creator of the famed Cthulhu Mythos that have become one of the foundations of the SF and horror genres.

The first group of nine shorts, collectively entitled Haiyoru Nyaruani, were mobile-streamed and released to DVD without television exposure and were distributed later on Niconico.

The second group of 12 shorts, collectively entitled Haiyoru Nyaruani: Remember My Love (Craft), were broadcast on BS11 as part of a larger entertainment program.

Nyarko-san: Another Crawling Chaos (set to also appear on Crunchyroll in April) is a fully animated series produced by studio Xebec, home of such anime as Shaman King, Love Hina Again, and Rinne no Lagrang

Crunchyroll noted that it will
stream the first five episodes from the previous Haiyoru! Nyaruani net anime series on March 5 at 3:00 p.m. EST, and it will stream the final four episodes in that series next week. The company will then stream the Haiyoru! Nyaruani: Remember My Mr. Lovecraft television anime series starting in two weeks, and it will then stream the Haiyore! Nyaruko-san television anime series when as it airs it premieres in April.

http://www.jpopasia.com/news/haiyore-nyaruko-san-to-be-streamed-on-crunchyroll::10386.html

Crunchyroll has announced that it will start streaming Haiyore! Nyaruko-san (Nyarko-san: Another Crawling Chaos) on March 5.

Crunchyroll has also announced the streaming plans:
Prior to simulcasting the new season, Crunchyroll will release the first five (5) episodes from season one (1) on March 5 at 2PM PST. The subsequent four (4) episodes will be available the following week until the completion of season two (2) .

There are a bunch of other places citing the same general information, but the point stands that Crunchyroll has stated that they were going to air the new series/season after finishing the first two flash sets. So the question remains, does that mean its going to start this week, or next week, the calendar doesn't have the show listed yet.

I'm jumping in here and having a little trouble following this part of the thread...I think you're asking about the premieres continuing this series, but wasn't this already addressed in today's announcement on line 3?:

"Also, just as a reminder, Nyarko-san: Another Crawling Chaos will broadcast on Monday, April 9th at 10:30am PDT worldwide except for Asia."

I thought you were referring to Sankarea, since your message immediately followed mine where that was what I was discussing.

For Nyarko-san: Another Crawling Chaos, they listed the simulcast time a bit earlier in the first message of this topic:

You may want to send a PM to Bjaker (CR's Customer Support Lead), and inform him of this and what country you are in.

It wouldn't be the first time CR had error in the regions permissions for a show, but it is usually easy to correct once they are notified.
