Yeah, they've collected almost 70 chapters, and there'll be some more chapters since the last regular tankoubon was released, but they'll have gone through roughly 50 chapters in a 25 episode season. Since it runs in a fortnightly magazine, a 25 episode series premiering in Fall run would likely have enough material, including the 10+ chapters that would be done in the course of the two-season broadcast run.

But the side story is in a monthly, since September last year, so that's only ten or eleven chapters published by the end of the current broadcast season.

There's also a 4koma, so we'll see if they use any of that material. And by "we", I mean "y'all".

UPOTTE!!!! So happy right now that CR got this
Way to go!! This'll be another series I tune in to watch here for Spring Season
Overall, I think the new season announcements have been pretty good so far, sure there are some titles that may not cater to every watcher but still, it's a good time to expand your horizons lol

Now with a 3rd spot being announced today, im wondering what that is going to be as well, though some of you have suggested it might be a J-drama or something or another along those lines

I guess more shows premier next week because its been kinda slim pickings so far especially with major series like Beelzebub and Cardfight Vangard ending.

There is a new series Cardfight!! Vanguard: Asia Circuit Hen, so while the original series may be technically ending, the story isn't over. Unless the series has been licensed for broadcast or home video, it is very likely CR will get it, not only because it is a sequel series, but because it is a TV Tokyo series. It probably will be one of the later announcements, however, as it does not start until April 8 in Japan.

theres a rumor going around that vanguard will air on cartoon network later this year since it was dubbed by blue water to air on odex and it will air on the CN in asia later this year.

There's still a small chance of a latecast of that title, but I would assume that it's Funico only. Funimation could announce it as a simulcast as soon as 1 P.M PDT on Friday(their industry panel at Sakura-con starts at Noon PDT) or Saturday afternoon during their 90-minute panel at Anime Boston(which could work out to early afternoon PDT).

So if you live in the United States, you still have an opportunity to see it simulcast somewhere.

Why can't they make Upotte available for all premium members, like they did with Saki.

Saki is a TV Tokyo title, and so they could get worldwide except for Japan for premium members

Upotte is a Kadokawa title, and Kadokawa's regional restrictions are tighter than TV Tokyo's.

every anime (or most of) this season thats available world wide outside of japan has been tv tokyo titles and that seems to be a new trend with them and uppote isnt even airing on tv so that might be why.

I wouldn't worry about Kore wa Zombie. If CR doesn't announce it, there's a 90% chance it's gonna be on NicoNico, and Funi's site since Funi has the first season licensed.

*Sigh* You know, I will watch a lot of the shows Crunchyroll's announced so far, but aside from "Nyarko-san," none of them are the titles I'm really looking forward to.

5 more shows left to announce (assuming the spring lineup list is right)... I hope CR gets the second season of 'Kore wa Zombie desu ka' (Funi getting the license doesn't mean they got it exclusively... I hope)

When its available in Northern Europe but not the UK, it often means that someone in the UK has put their spoon into the pot.

And like TheSkyFlame suggest, TV Tokyo seems to have been pushing hard to get production committees to put worldwide outside of Japan streaming rights into one company's hands: for a long time, other than Naruto, they best they could swing for Crunchyroll was Worldwide Outside Asia, and often they couldn't even swing that.

If the Upotte!! production committee has one company licensing the Americas and Europe and a different company licensing Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Oceania, that pretty much blocks Crunchyroll from being able to get those rights in the second licensing region.

If these new world licenses that TV Tokyo has been helping Crunchyroll get work out, Crunchyroll can start offering bigger top-ups for adding more regions, and then more production committees are going to start making sure they set things up to take advantage of those top-ups for adding more region.

Given the "30 is the new 20" hint for upcoming announcements in the premium members forum, I am still betting on at least 30 simulcasts total on the lineup page, which would mean the addition of 3 more boxes before all is said and done.

While all but 3 series will have premiered by April 12, the last of those 3 doesn't premiere until April 29 (U.S. time), so it could be quite a while before the CR announcements can officially be declared over for the season.
