I haven't had time to exercise.
But I'd like to strengthen my muscles, so that I'll be healthy, and strong!

"To be considered obese, a person has a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher. With the extra weight comes myriad health issues — obesity contributes to heart disease, diabetes, stroke, and some cancer

Are you concerned about the increasing rates of obesity?
What do you do to keep healthy...
or do you care?

Well my hips were inflamed and they still kind of are so I have therapy once a month if that counts. But I try to ride my bike at least a mile each day and in a few weeks I'll be back in P.E. and dance. ^_^ (I was out because of my hips and such :/ )

I LOOOOOVE EXERCISING.

no srsly i love PE so much other people hate me for it. our longest run, the most torturous run... is my favorite.
i also swim almost every single day.
do situps and pushups when i'm bored.
and i can't sit for long periods of time so whenever we get a break in class i'd start running in place.

I like exercising, but I haven't worked out since I became depressed long time ago. Since I hardly gain weight because of my metabolism, I think I'll be fine.

I don't see a lot of obese people where I live so it does not affect me in anyway. If I did see it a lot I might care more. I run my dog three miles a day and try to eat as healthy as I can. Thinking about doing a little bit of weight training in order to boost my metabolism. But we shall see. Been saying it for a few months now.

I seem to be doing the opposite from some of the others here. While I used to be on a crew team and would row for hours on end, I stopped liking the monotony. I also ran for a while on track and field and hated it, but my long term lower body endurance has always been crap. So I took up weight and resistance training instead, which I do 6x per week and have been for years now. I've been able to switch between various exercises, including body weight exercises (like push ups), to make it interesting. It also helps endurance and stamina. My resistance training has yielded better results as far as muscle development than when I combined it with cardiovascular exercises. Beyond that, it has been something that has been easier for me to push myself to continue doing.

I like to exercise when its something i enjoy. Weight training wasnt exactly interesting, so i play tennis quite often. I also do karate and a bit of MMA. Everyone should exercise. I dont believe "i don't have time" is an excuse. Just go out there and do something.

I think there is time for exercise for anyone with any type of lifestyle. Saying there isn't is usually a cop out. :P

Even 5 minutes of walking (choosing the stairs instead of elevator/escalator), jogging, etc is better than nothing.

Well I submitted my honors thesis last year and gained a ton of weight with all the sitting in front of a computer eating crap food. Starting this year I have been working in a restaurant. Keeps me on my feet for 4-8 hours a day, 5 days a week and is quite physically demanding. I have lost around 7 kg since the start of the year. I feel like I will start lifting weights again soon.

I go jogging about 2 or 3 times a week. I usually jog for a good 45 minutes or an hour. Usually I've gone around the track a good 6 or 8 times before that.

All I can say about the obesity problem is that a day ago I saw a women on the track with crutches. If she can do it, anyone can.

I do not exercise at all.
I don't eat junk so I don't really get fat, but I suppose I should care a bit more about my health

I don't go out of my way to exercise, but I walk to work and back everyday, and to anywhere within walking distance. If somewhere is too far to walk I tend to use my bike (I don't have a car) so that helps to keep me fit.
