Do you exercise?

I have super fast metabolism, so I tend to let that do the work for me

Sure, of course it's a concern.

What I do is:

* Karate class
* Karate training at home (kata, balance, positioning, so on.. it's an "okay" cardio work out)
* Various different exercises at home (either body weight, or P90X's "lean" program, or cardio on the punching bag)

Over the past couple of weeks I've been transitioning my diet to include a lot of wheat germ and milled flaxseed, whole grain (breads, cereals), lean turkey rather than beef, and so on, and I'm trying to nix the soda.

The exercise is the easy part. Eating right is the real challenge.

This Summer I am getting rid of what's left of my gut. No more pudge!

I exercise frequently, about 4-5 times a week for 1-2 hours, and maintain a bmi of 19.3 at the moment.

I'm doing a basic push/pull/legs-abs split (4-5 lifting days/week) + boxing, with my daily meals consisting of something like:

Breakfast: one of these:
* Eggs with milk and coffee
* Protein shake

Lunch: one of these
* Eggs
* Braunschweiger/sharp cheddar/mustard/onion sandwich

Dinner: one of these:
* Steak or beef liver w/ steamed kale and yam
* brown rice and chicken curry with mushrooms, peppers, and various vegetables
* Pan-fried canned fish patties with sauteed vegetables

Pre-workout snack: cottage cheese mixed with peanutbutter and creatine powder

During-workout: I have this whey extract, 60g protein / 300 calories in my water bottle

I started at 6'1" / 155 lb / 18% bf and am now 185 lb / 16% bf, ideally I want to be 200lb and 10% bf, but I've got a long way to go...

I've said this before but back in the day people thought nothing of a 10 mile walk. It was daily occurrence.

The machines have made things easier for us. Now we shudder at the thought of walking half that regularly. And we sit down in front of our Laptops or TVs for hours. Not labour intensive.

I bet people who have a tendency to be obese now days were champions at everything back in the day, what with their ability to store goods and live on little and horde what they could when they could and then go back to labour intensive stuff.

So when you look at a fat person think this guy is from a lineage of champions just like Goku and other sayains who eat a lot.

I myself go on a bike for an hour every day. Half hour in the day half hour at night. And walk at least half hour each day. Treadmill I realised was a waste really when you can walk out and see the sky and trees. And grass and a dead cat.

Um no. At least not intentionally because exercise bores the CRAP out of me. I do enjoy tennis on occasion though.

But what with walking places every day I get more than enough exercise. The best workout is a full day's shopping at various malls. <33 Or rushing to classes when you're perpetually late. Anyone can lose weight that way.

What are the portion sizes/net calories for this? I'm impressed that you are making the gains you have on something that seems fairly restrictive and envy you a bit as a result. I've made the mistake in the past of not eating enough--I only lost weight and looked terrible afterward. It took 2x as long to regain muscle I'd lost. I'm still paying for it in slower gains, even though I'm eating as much as I can stomach (typically ~2500-2700 calories, more or less depending upon appetite). I used to be able to build and tone without even trying only 5 or so years ago. Now I have to force myself to eat more and lift until I'm numb to even come close.

I run about a mile every day to make sure I'm in shape. At the beginning of the year I could barely go one fourth of a mile without stopping and gasping for air. I wasn't obese I was just really out of shape. Now I'm up to one mile without stopping and my goal is to get to at least two.
