Hey guys,
We're continuing our spring announcements with the addition of: Phi Brain Season 2, which is set to broadcast on Wednesdays 9:30am PDT. We will also be adding the first season of Phi Brain along with the broadcast of the latest season. Both seasons of Phi Brain will be available to North American audiences only. For those that missed the first season, here's what you can expect: “Kaito, a puzzle-loving high school freshman, is selected as a candidate for ‘PHI BRAIN.’ He and his friend Nonoha find an ‘unsolvable puzzle’ near their school. The puzzle turns out to be a life-threatening ‘philosopher's puzzle’ created by the mysterious group P.O.G. (Puzzle Of God). After successfully solving the puzzle, Kaito is designated as a Solver and is joined by other Solvers as they battle P.O.G. all over the world by solving the ‘philosopher's puzzles.’” Earlier today we added another title to our spring simulcast announcements with Kuroko's Basketball to our lineup. Kuroko's Basketball will broadcast on Saturday, April 7th at 11:30am PDT in the following territories: U.S.A, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden. Kuroko's Basketball The Teiko Middle School Basketball Team. The class that produced three perfect seasons in a row, with five once-in-a generation players, called "The miracle generation". There was another player who all of them respected... A legendary 6th player. An up-and-coming power player, Taiga Kagami, is just back from America. When he comes to Seirin High School, he meets the super-ordinary boy, Tetsuya Kuroko. Kagami is shocked to find that Kuroko isn't good at basketball, in fact, he's bad! And he's so plain that he's impossible to see. But Kuroko's plainness lets him pass the ball around without the other team noticing him, and he's none other than the sixth member of the Miracle Generation. Kuroko makes a pact with Kagami to defeat the other members of the Miracle Generation, who have all played basketball at other schools. A battle of light (Kagami) and shadow (Kuroko) begins! Stay tuned in, as we have more announcements coming your way! 3/5 - Hiiro No Kakera 3/5 - Nyarko-san: Another Crawling Chaos 3/17 - OZMA 3/29 - Space Brothers 3/29 - Folktales from Japan 3/30 - You and Me 2 3/30 - Saint Seiya Omega 4/2 - Yurumate3Dei 4/2 - Naruto Spin-Off: Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals 4/3 - Sengoku Colleciton (Parallel World Samurai) 4/3 - Polar Bear's Cafe 4/4 - Saki 4/4 - Upotte!! 4/5 - Kuroko's Basketball 4/5 - Phi Brain 4/6 - ??? |

Kuroko's Basketball will broadcast on Friday, April 7th at 11:30am PDT in the following territories: U.S.A, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden. Just a heads up, but did you mean... Friday April 6th, or Saturday April 7th? Looks like its wrong on the site news announcement as well. Unless I'm talking to you from an alternate universe which is on a different calendar. Which I'm not ruling out. |

Not a big fan of basketball, but there's ot many other interesting titles this season so I'm gonna watch this. Read the manga as well, and it's pretty decent.

Yeah, the calendar of releases has it on Saturday as well. So for people who are familiar with this one, is the story interesting enough to watch even if I don't care about basketball? |

Well, I don't care about basketball at all, yet I love this series, so I'd say so. Of course, everyone's tastes vary, but it's worth at least giving a try. Anyways, thank you so much for this, Crunchyroll! I was really hoping you'd get this one! ^_^ |

As others indicated, there seems to be a little confusion over the day of this simulcast. The announcement says Friday, but the series page says Saturday (as do some other places, apparently). Could you clarify this for us? Thanks!
P.S. -- In general, I didn't think I'd enjoy sports anime much, but I've generally liked others I've seen, so I'll be giving this one a try, too. |

It doesn't even air till Saturday, so that should answer your question. |

Yes, I suppose so. I basically only know what I read here, so when I see one place saying Friday and another saying Saturday, I wonder which is correct. Looks like it's Saturday in this case. This sort of thing seems to happen fairly regularly around here though, for some reason. I think that each season I end up moving one or a few series around in my queue to keep things in order of simulcast day/time, because what I read initially isn't what it is later on. Thanks for the clarification on this title.

SilverWordzSo for people who are familiar with this one, is the story interesting enough to watch even if I don't care about basketball? I'm not particularily fond of basketball, and I've enjoyed the manga so far. The storyline isn't anything too original, and it veers into sports/shounen manga silliness (nonsensical basketball skills, etc.) constantly, but the characters are likeable, the matches are pretty exciting- and not too predictable- and the mysteries surrounding several characters and groups are intriguing. Take that with a grain of salt, though; with sports manga I tend to either despise them or overrate them. |

Anyway, so far I've added all the spring announcements to my queue, so keep up the good work CR. Now I just need to figure out when I'm going to find the time to watch them all, and still catch up on some older stuff. |
