I usually watch extremely bloody/violent animes. This one fits the bill, yet there is a fun love story thrown in (I usually hate animes that are exclusively about love or ecchi), and the common zombie tale is completely flipped. I'll keep myself updated on this one.

We see some great background history of Ranko and what she was like during her cute little childhood years Kawaii: Spoilers' summary: Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Apparently, Ranko met Chihiro during their kindergarten years. It seemed that Ranko had a puppy crush on Chihiro after their initial meeting. Well, they got along pretty well till they watched a movie like this: Continued... Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide seems that the move was not the last time they see each other. They eventually meet again but Chihiro is still obsessed with zombies. During a trip to a video store, they are threatened by a fierce dog but Chihiro protects his friend. Dero..dero. I think she might still be in love with him? Great lighthearted episode ^_^

She felt safe that he was never going to get another girl so she didn't act. Now he actually has a Zombie Girl and Ranko realizes she can't sit in the safe zone anymore unfortunately she may already have left it too late.

I'm also betting that she may play a prominent role in the future against Rea's father because based on the preview of the next episode, it seems that he has some diabolical plan to get back what he wants: his daughter.

After watching this latest episode, I'm starting to favor Ranko a bit more although given the main heroine role for Rea, we probably know what the ending will be like.
