Seriously though, I remember a bit about it when it happened. Wasn't into Nirvana back then, but I know I heard the mention of it for sure.

Kind of sad to think he died at the same age I am now.

Haha done! I was almost 12, and I was VERY VERY upset. Nirvana was my favorite band at the time. I still remember when I heard the news, though I can't say I'm emotionally disrupted by any of it(or think about Nirvana or Kurt Cobain) ever anymore.

18 years ago I was ......18! Cool guy with a lot of talent. Nirvana was one of many Seattle branded bands that were hitting the grunge scene in the '90s along with Alice in Chains (lead singer Layne Staley is dead too), and Soundgarden. What's funny is that the drummer for Nirvana was Dave Grohl, singer of Foo Fighters.

I was 20, and when the news hit, I headed off to the bar, just like pretty much everyone else at the time.
Sad, sad, day
RIP..

I was 4 or 5. I'm not sure if he committed suicide or not since I've heard different stories, but I do hope he's at peace.

Like so many famous musicians, you can only maintain the lifestyle for so long. I am sure being married to Courtney Love was no picnic either... (sorry, not a Hole fan)

It's weird that most of the people here just post how old they were when he died, but they have no idea who he was.
