So, it's like a brother-to-brother-to-sister esque relationship (Sentaro, Kaoru and Ritsuko)?

Have you seen the episodes? This kinda made me smile.

Kaoru in this show might be the most likable protagonist in a romance (and its so a romance) in years.

Everyone loves that he actually mans up instead of doing the sad/halfway thing.

I love this show so much, I think they should do more anime where they are set in pre-modern times, but not like in the Edo period either.

Episode 5...

Yes !! episode 5 was awesome...I always thought Jun-nii was a player ha ha ha... not much music in this episode but it was still pretty good .
The featured music is Lullaby's of Birdland , composed by George Shearing in 1952 and sang by vocalist Chris Connor

im singin it right now ha ha

I was cracking up in some scenes. I loves Sentaro's remark here and there and Kaoru's reaction here and there.
The guy-guy friendship scenes were so refreshing and it aint Boy LOve ....The mother -son scenes were touching too , i almost cried and it sure has perfect timing for Mother's day...

Episode 6

I was really feeling for Kauro so much that my heart was aching. I must have felt that way in the past.

In High School I transfered from 1 school to another leaving my best friends behind. Seeing my best friend becoming closer with another friend , I could not resist but feel jealous and lonely and back then I was a classical piano student as well.

The animation of this anime is excellent and the voice acting is just amazing .I cant wait for the next episode.

And is that guy in the bar .Jun-nii ?

Also , the new character by Nobuhiko san is cute but I sure want to kick him in the behind for being so in your face manipulative

Me too, I moved around a lot as a kid and and my heart really went out to Kaoru in this episode. He knows it's childish but he can't help but be hurt. It doesn't help that that mushroom head kid, Matsuoka or whatever, is such a tool. I hope Kaoru and Sentaro make up soon.

I just picked up the soundtrack too. It is quite amazing. Kanno's jazz is always so playful.

The time period set it apart. I think there is plenty of series set in pre-modern times, the obsession with the Sengoku period for example.
