Hey guys,

A pair of indie developers I've been sta... following... for a while are working on a sequel to a side project Paul did a while back called "Under the Garden". The sequel titled "Under the Ocean" they are both a simple survival game. Where the focus is on the survival more than building. If you'd like to check it out they have some devlogs up at http://www.underthegarden.com

However one of the bigger reasons I've been following them is how social they are. They are currently streaming all the work they do on the game 12 hours a day at http://www.twitch.tv/underthegarden 8pm to 8 am est... They are Aussies living in NZ.

If you'd like to check out some of their other games you can head over to http://www.bigblockgames.com. One of their games "Black Market" is also currently being sold in the gamergate indiefort bundle.http://www.gamersgate.com/indiefort-bundle-1

Come hang out with us on the stream tell em Metsuro sent ya. Hope to see you around.

Edit: Paul does use some profanity. So just a warning the conversations are a tad mature on the stream.

I have tried a few abstract / experimental indie games for computers. These include...

* Storyteller (basically an interactive feltboard, which the player can manipulate in order to change a simple story)
* Windosill (a room in which the player can manipulate objects, and see what happens)
* Passage (a metaphor for life and death... I think)

I've also played Infinity Danger, an XBox 360 indie game which is rather similar to the freeware game Warning Forever. And I've been striving to support the independent visual novel community with purchases and feedback.

Absolutely. I've played quite a few of the Aveyond games, by Amaranth Games. I've also played an indie visual novel called Jisei.
To The Moon was also on my hit list, but I haven't bought it yet. Maybe one day. (The OST is incredible, srsly!)

I am a big supporter of indie games; for me, it all started with Cave Story. I may not be so much into the gaming scene these days, but there are some great game developers out there that do such a good job at making a truly enjoyable game.

indie games are my fuckin' favorite (because I have a shitty computer). Also they push mechanical (and even artistic) envelopes to extremes in a way that risk-averse big-budget publishers rarely do.

Also, I've definitely put like 350 hours into Binding of Isaac.

Not sure if it counts as "indie", but Bastion is an incredibly beautiful game.

As to these guys...heard of them, never actually checked out their stuff. I'll look into it

Not only do I like them, I think they are almost singlehandedly responsible for keeping creativity in games alive.

Fez was great, Frozen Synapse is God.

Bastion that game is amazing. In my book it beats all the AAA games and is my personal 2011 GOTY.

World of Goo is probably my favorite indie game. I love Super Meat Boy and The Binding of Isaac though. Limbo is an excellent game as well.

I would say that Limbo is my favorite indie game. I really liked Fez as well. Braid seemed really interesting, but I got stuck kind of early on.
