So I would assume that Medaka Box is on a one week delay since a lot of people have said they have already seen it?

I have to say I'm disappointed that the second series for Cardfight Vanguard isn't being aired on CR (barring a mid season surprise). I guess it befall the same fate as Milky Holmes (and interestingly both are made by the same animation studio).

With the season seeming to be complete for CR, I think it has the potential to be better than Winter 2012, although I really dislike how the shows aren't evenly distributed. I would say that Upotte is the worst series by far for this season (but not as bad as Horizon, which was so bad I couldn't watch all the episodes).

That's a fair point ~ being from Sweden, the new series are: Space Brothers, OZMA, Hiro no Kakera, Nyarko-san, Folk Tales, You and Me 2, Rock Lee & Friends, Sengoku Collection, Polar Bear Cafe, Saki ~ Episode of Side A, Upotte!!, Kuroko's Basketball, and Mysterious Girlfriend X ...
... which means three notable either primary or a obvious big side-helping of t&a fanservice are not even in the mix.

If the criticism starts being that someone doesn't like SF (2 up there & plus Miniskirt Space Privateers, which is certainly not a t&a fan-service series), laid back cartoon style series (Folk Tales & Polar Bear Cafe), Sports / Tournament anime (Saki & Kuroko), Shonen Jump (Rock Lee & Friends) ... well then, its gone a long way astray from the complaint about t&a fan service.

Wouldn't really be a mid-season surprise if its announced this week, now would it?

As far as befalling the same fate as Milky Holmes, you mean NicoNico outbid Crunchyroll for the series? Or you mean someone outbidding Crunchryoll for the series, like 4Kids (now that they won their lawsuit)?

I have NO INTEREST in Queen's Blade, but I'm sure I'll check out the others.

Except that's what I thought he was doing in reverse, by shoehorning shows he disliked into the fan service/sex based theme, a category he thinks is in poor taste or at least overdone, and then launching (not very well correlated) criticism from there. To be clear, I don't think Upotte being developed prevented the development of good anime. And Medaka Box was chosen because of the manga's popularity, which while certainly tied to fan service, simply makes it more like Naruto and maybe Bleach or Natsume; it's not an indicator of things to come in the summer lineup.

I was wondering if CR was going to pick up Queens Blade since they have the other two seasons. Also Medaka Box and Dust Maiden of Amnesia both look good. ^^

Some rather big titles here. I've heard much eagerness for Medaka Box, so I look forward to it as well. I would love to hear from the licensors themselves why they must choose regions in such a major. I know the relevance of per-region licensors, but all the logic in my head just fails to carry realistic application in the modern world. I'm lucky to be in the no worry zone, but I can't be accusatory about piracy in excluded regions when these things get flaunted at them here on the world wide web.

Medaka Box and Queens Blade are not at issue here, they do not stream to Scandinavia.

But the question of how much "ecchi fan service" does a series have before its an "ecchi fan service show" is like the question how long is a long piece of string ... in reality it comes in different anime in different degrees, and too much for one fan looking to avoid it may well be not enough to count for another fan looking to view it.

My latest point that you quoted (probably not expressed very clearly off the top of my head) was, no matter how broadly you define it ... its still clearly a minority of the series available in Scandinavia. It doesn't make any sense at all to gnash teeth and don sackcloth to bemoan the "ecchi fan service", when its a minority of anime available, even as broadly defined as possible. Just don't watch it, and problem solved.

If anything, its an old complaint about series with wide distribution still hanging on, despite being a lot more accurate a year and a half ago when Kadokawa titles made up a very big share of series available outside of North America, and a lot less accurate this season where so many of them are courtesy of TV Tokyo.

Just a quick message to you Crunchyroll. Even though there are still many series not available to us in our region, I'm sure all of us in the UK have noticed just how many new series you've been able to make available to us this Spring season. So just a quick thank you, because we really do appreciate it.

This is it? Really? I really like some of the titles this season, but I was hoping for the new Cardfight Vanguard and Eureka Seven AO.

For all we know, Crunchyroll could still be in negotiations for the new Cardfight Vanguard and Eureka Seven AO.

During Fall 2011, there were quite a few series that Crunchyroll got late including one 7 weeks in so don't lose hope yet.

Hyouka and AKB0048 still have more than a week(and more than two for AKB) until they air, so adding a box or two now may be still premature.
