animecrazy14 wrote: This is it? Really? I really like some of the titles this season, but I was hoping for the new Cardfight Vanguard and Eureka Seven AO. From the initial message in this thread: Is this the end of our announcements? It might be, but then again... That's CR code speak for, "We don't have any signed contracts for anything else, but we are still negotiating". As for Cardfight!! Vanguard: Asia Circuit Hen, you may want to read this message: http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-757279/cf-vanguard-asia-circut-hen?fpid=39665370 |

I really hope Queen's Blade isn't censored. It would be pointless to watch otherwise. It would be better for CR to save its money for other licenses if it can't get the unedited version.

So glad CR got Medaka Box!
Still waiting on the new season for Cardfight! Vanguard, though. And Fate Zero. |

He specifically mentioned Medaka Box, which he apparently already saw (premiered April 5, delayed on CR here) elsewhere. His original and followup comments go well beyond what simply CR will be streaming to his region. He has every right to have different tastes and to be dissatisfied with the anime industry, just that his criticisms as aired don't make much sense given that's the nature of any media play in any country--to get viewership and pull a profit. More sequels and niche shows are a good thing, but that comes from within a limited pull of funds and airtime the industry has to budget against. But the question of how much "ecchi fan service" does a series have before its an "ecchi fan service show" is like the question how long is a long piece of string ... in reality it comes in different anime in different degrees, and too much for one fan looking to avoid it may well be not enough to count for another fan looking to view it. Accurate, and that is where I have a problem with his opinion in extending his tastes of a couple of shows to the overall crappiness of the anime season and possible future/summer season, some things he mentioned in his initial post.. My latest point that you quoted (probably not expressed very clearly off the top of my head) was, no matter how broadly you define it ... its still clearly a minority of the series available in Scandinavia. It doesn't make any sense at all to gnash teeth and don sackcloth to bemoan the "ecchi fan service", when its a minority of anime available, even as broadly defined as possible. Just don't watch it, and problem solved. Your comment last night was written clearly, it took a bit to parse but that was because it was late after a boring day for me. In my reply, I was was agreeing with you and pointing out that your analysis was his argument but in the other logical direction, the difference being that you saw the fault while he didn't seem to. |

I'm going to guess that it is the censored version that is going to be simulcast. This looks like a co-op deal with Media Blasters and Media Blasters might upgrade it to the uncensored version for Crunchyroll once they have the DVDs ready. Crunchyroll paying towards Media Blaster's MG for this series helps Media Blasters be able to give this a physical release. And Crunchyroll doesn't pick and choose what they stream: if it is offered to them at what they can pay, they'll stream it. And they express an interest in every anime that is set to premiere. |

Your statement implies that you believe that because CR spent money on the minimum guarantee for Queen's Blade Rebellion, they didn't have the money for something else. That is doubtful. The show will very likely be profitable for CR, which is a good thing even if you don't intend to watch it. |

Cardfight Vanguard has such a huge fanbase on CR, bigger then most their other series, they just assume no one watches it on here? look at all the comments on the last episode of Season 1. I don't watch cardfight vanguard, but so many people liked it on here and now they have to resort to pirating it, cause CR is so fucking lazy.

If you bothered to read the post linked regarding Asia Circuit Chapter in this thread, you would know it wasn't CR that didn't get it. It was that Bushiroad didn't think it was worth it. vietstar889: Under continuing series most likely. I do believe this is for NEW ACCUSATIONS. CR's rights for ZERO probably work for the second half of the show as well as the first. |
