Have you ever walked out on a film?
|
I've only walked out on one movie: My Dinner With Andre. I had bought a season ticket for movies shown on my college campus and this artsy fartsy loser was part of the line up. I and 2 of 3 friends got up after 30-40 minutes of watching 2 guys at a cafe flapping their gums at each other over nonsense. The 3rd friend stayed through the whole thing...2-ish hours of this nonsense.Fortunately, I didn't lose too much $ (about $2.50)in walking out. These days I only go to the theater if it's something that's caught my interest. Otherwise it's tv or online.

Their are many times I want to walk out of a movie because I hate it since it does not amuse me, nothing against the movie, it's just i have specific likes as well as dislikes. However, if I'm enjoying a movie, I stay, duh, if I'm not I'll still stay to watch. Why, you might ask. If I hate it, and I watch the entire movie, I'll be able to have a good argument on why I hate it to those that have watched it and want my opinion on it. I mean, what kind of person would you sound like if someone asked you about that movie, and you replied, "I walked out on that movie, didn't watch it all." Better to actually have some things to say about why you disliked it, am i right, or am i an even further right?

I casually watch herem animes.

No, but I've fallen asleep during plenty of them. I figure if I pay to sit in that theatre, I might as well get something out of it, whether it be a movie or a nap.

Yeah, went to the movies alone one time and thirty minutes in I finally thought, FML, and left. I had gone into the wrong room and accidentally ended up watching the beginning of a crappy movie I really didn't want to see.

I might have to bend it back and break it, break it off!

Hmm yes. It was The Town. The beginning irritated me and I told them I want to go see a different movie and they let me. But normally I don't walk out. I tend to fall asleep at the show often either way
It's just so relaxing. |

I don't go to theaters since many are unsanitary and sometimes have loud ignorant people there shouting at the screen. I have though turned off a movie when I can't tolerate it any longer. :3

I did walked out watching... err... I forgot the title. I think it's "Journey to the Center of the Earth" or something like that.

Thankfully, I wasn't missing much. I'm not big on walking out of films. My friends find it annoying sometimes when I ask to stay for the credits. Sometimes the movies have really good music in the credits. And it's a good time to reflect on the movie. This is a mirror reflection of my life and time at the cinemas. |

But lately I haven't been going to theaters anyway, largely because they suck, but also because I've got a huge backlog of about 10 anime series I need to watch ($20-50 for 4-10 hours of entertainment = much better deal for me), and then there's always Netflix too. |
