I haven't been to a theater in around... 3 years? I think. I'm not really against it or anything, I've just got more interesting things to do. For the price of a movie, I could easily buy a fairly good quality six-pack. I enjoy that much more than most movies, and the ones that I enjoy more than beer, I could always watch later. But I guess if I did go, and I wasn't enjoying the movie, the only reason to stay is that it might get better. So, why not walk out?

Two: Grumpier Old Men and What Dreams May Come. I was with friends at both and we all started looking at each other with that "this is just crap I'd rather watch Monty Python for the gajillionth time" expression, so we left. This was back in the day when we still had dollar theatres, though. And what we actually went home and watched...

I walked out on King Kong during the scene with those strange water human thingies that were attacking the boat, I probably wouldn't do so now since I've diluted myself with anime like Higurashi and games like left 4 dead, neither are that bad, but at that time I would have been scared to death of them.

Only if the 3D is too much and gives me a headache. I had to step out of Avatar for a bit because the movie was so long and 3D is too intense for my eyes.

Home Theater > Movie Theater

Watch what you want, when you want, and all in the comfort of your own home.

If you don't like what you're watching, just rent another movie.

I can only watch films when I have companions. I even fall asleep most of the time. That's why I don't really like going to cinemas.

The only one movie I ever walked out on was "Milk". However, I didn't even pay for that movie.

No. In general, I don't pay to see movies I don't already know I'll enjoy. The exception being if I'm with a group of friends, in which case there'll usually be someone also not enjoying whatever we're watching, so I have someone to join me in quietly making fun of it if necessary.

Fudge no. #1 A ticket costs close to ten bucks these days. #2 I make sure the movie has been well received or that I have friends to go see it with. #3 If it is horrible I will MST3K that bitch, rather than leaving.

I wanted to walk out on the latest Transformers movie. The theater in my town only gets one movie a week and I really wanted to spend time with this guy I took to the fair a few weeks ago. I did walk into the lobby twice because my ears were hurting from the loud noises. Neither of us wanted to see the film, it was just the only thing showing that weekend. At least we did not let one bad movie ruin a budding relationship.
