Is it better to watch an Anime all in one go? or to watch it once a week as it's aired?

I would really like to watch an Anime all in one go since it you simply don't have to wait , however you do need patience but then again if you're busy it's easy. I would prefer to watch it all in one go, however the problem with me is that I'm always keen to see the new episode of an anime as soon as it's released here, but the bad thing about that is that your mind can build high expectations for the next episode which can easily let you down after waiting a week for it and if you keep doing that it may ruin your impression of the anime you are currently are watching. I also feel that if you watch it once a week you savoir the anime more than the people that watch it one go as those people would finish it in a matter of a few days whereas if you've been watching it weekly it makes you feel more attached characters and the story since you've been observing the anime for weeks and months.

If the anime is great, I watch it all in one go but with a handful of episodes per day so I'm not rushing too quick into it's storyline.
Savouring the flavour!

I tend to like one episode at a time better. If it's complete and available for watching, I usually finish it within a week, though.

I know I prefer having the entire series to watch, as I tend to be an addict and impatient and have a hard time saying no to "one more episode..."

Though, I watch basically any simulcast that interests me simply so I have something to watch throughout the week.

Watch everything in one go or watch it once a week doesn't really matter to me as long as everything is within reach. But if I have to chose, I would watch the weekly anime to elevate my boredom.

Great question.

I personally like watching it all in one go. However, if you want to remain socially interactive (reading blogs and discussing it with people online), then sometimes you have to watch the new episodes right when they come out so you're not being left out!

Yeah, that's why I try to make up mind pretty early on whether I'm going to keep up with a show during it's broadcast or to marathon it later. Making this decision helps me figure out how I plan to connect with a show and other viewers. Sounds abstract but there's basically two feelings when I watch a show: one is to interact with other people and be a part of the social collective when a show is being aired, the other is by marathoning a show and just taking it all in at once. Both can be exciting and special in their own way.

It depends on the series.There are some series that I try to marathon watch but I tend temporarily dropping. Series that have more than 1 season/12-13 episodes I would rather watch weekly(1 episode/week).

Series that I watch weekly are usually series that I do not temporarily drop. <--- This only applies to current series.

Some shows get really annoying if taken in too large doses;

Bleach got that sometimes, if you're watching a bunch of eps at once, the 'STFU AND ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING!' element get's way more obvious.

Short series with closed storylines are way more fun to watch all at once.

Depends on the anime. If it's slow moving, it's gotta be in one go. I'll get impatient if I have to wait for it to air and maybe stop watching. If I'm fairly satisfied every episode, I'm OK with watching it when it airs and waiting every week. It keep the suspense going lol
