TheAncientOne wrote: Late night anime is effectively a commercial for the DVD/BD release, so like infomercials in the United States, they are broadcast during time slots when the air time can be acquired inexpensively. I suspect the Japanese ratings still measure only live viewers, and don't take into account the number of people that record the episodes to watch later in the day. I know you would reply to that hehe. |

Very interesting episodes thus far.
So many many mysteries and speculation can run amok. Definitely the quality I expect from Bones. In due time we should get a better idea of how it will all turn out. |

This definitely has me interested. I really enjoyed Eureka Seven, and I would like to see how the story is going to progress from the first series.

Episode 2 Wonderful OP, this along with Dusk Maiden of Amnesia's are my favorites so far this Spring Season. Anyways, an interesting episode with mecha action. The comedy, action, and drama were mixed in nicely including the mini-naval warfare. This scene sure bought back some nostalgia: ![]() Taken from Wikipedia: The IFOs or Intellligent Flying Objects are the successors to the LFOs from Eureka Seven. They make their debut . Fantastic aerial combat mixed in with the kick-ass music (although not as good as Jormungand's imo). Two other characters are also introduced and may play prominent roles in the future. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide ![]() It seems that she is somewhat famous based on the scenes following her introduction and the others' confusion of someone like her would interact with Ao. Here's another flashback of Eureka (most likely): Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide ![]() A heartwarming ending to this great episode, better delivered than last time. So glad I picked up this series now. |

It is really too bad Eureka Seven doesn't often receive recognition and the appreciation it deserves. The story is easy to follow for younger audiences while at the same time involving controversial/mature themes and complex characters. One of the few times I can say an anime actually has realistic, well developed characters.

Is it just me or is AO missing the counter-culture vibe that was so prevalent in the first Eureka Seven series? It seems like they've carried it through into the animation and character designs but have completely scrapped from the plot (well, at least so far).

The first series got me misty eyed more than once, I hope this can live up to it. Though you are right, the original series does seem to fly under the radar. Maybe its because Renton is a whiny little bit....
I am going to refrain from watching this till I have a buffer built up, I am really eager to start watching it. |

![]() So Eureka did cameback and Renton? I guess they will keep on giving us clues along the way...I like the suspense and hate it at the same time lol, cant wait for third ep. Since the final of EU 7 just gave like 1 second of renton and eureka we just have to wait and see what happen in the gap between EU 7 and AO |
