Episode 10

Nice to see Eureka Seven: AO return this week after the temporary hiatus. Anyways..the latest episode:

The secret of the episode:

The latest secret is quite powerful and did quite both the physical and psychological damage. At any rate right now, Ao is seriously lacking self-confidence for his failure of dealing with Truth and getting back his friend, Naru.

Some pictures:

Chief, I got a lot of respect for you my man, great episode for the return of Eureka Seven: AO.

Exactly why I keep trying to bump this thread back up.

Many people are still unaware of Astral Ocean's existence. Well, it doesn't make much sense at all so far, but there are so many moments that will make you nostalgic it is difficult to keep track of them all. In two more weeks (if uninterrupted) AO should reach the half way mark of its run.

Is it just me or do the characters in AO not feel as lively and realistic as those in its predecessor?

That's... what worried me about this sequel. When they first introduced the pilots it felt so generic...

Having a different character designer and a tighter schedule to keep with probably contributes a fair deal to why the characters no longer have that same vibe. Kenichi Yoshida thus far has only designed Eureka. I have no problem with Truth's name, however, it is his actions that draw my concern. He obviously contrast Dewey in terms of the power they have at their disposal. Dewey used his wits and political influence to reach his goals whereas Truth is just mystically blowing crap up with no purpose. Truth is a bigger enigma than Eureka ever was especially since he is just makes comments that don't really add up.
When he mentioned that Secrets are not what people believe them to be, I started suspecting they were like antibody coralians again especially since this latest one functioned in a similar manner. Ao is naturally more hardened than Renton was due to his upbringing, although I am seeing resolutions occurring too quickly. It would have been nice to have Dai Sato and Naoki Sato with the staff still, but what can you do? I'm mostly watching to see how this all ties back to the original Eureka Seven.

Episode 11

Hmm, some strange occurrences in this episode especially involving that punk singer "Miller" or maybe we should call her...someone else.

Yes, rather strange episode, especially on the psycho side as it seems that some of the characters are

This was like one of them tripping Acperience episodes.

Those were just a collection of flashbacks from the original. The Gekko, a tower-state, the Moon with engravings, etc. Evidence provided in this episode reinforces and demolishes my speculation at the same time. I'm entertaining a theory whipped up based on knowledge from New Order. Your comments have also got me to thinking on how to elaborate on this thought. Instead of your typical alternate universe/time-travel theories I think this one actually will turn out rather well.
Recall in New Order that Eureka mentions she will create seven separate fragments. However, she fades away around the time she mentions the location of the fourth or so. Furthermore if we take Truth's cryptic words to be any indication of the events than have since transpired then we can assume the world is indeed not what it appears to be. The Secrets inevitably will also be tied into this whole scenario, however, my current rendition is that the world we are seeing is somehow an illusion brought on by Eureka. And these changes that have accompanied the Earth post-departure of the Scub Coral.

What if the world the inhabitants of AO are living in is the true lie? Miller/Elena/? reported to Tanaka that there was evidence of a civilization predating the current civilization. That would all add up to the fact it is the same planet only society has adapted over time. The real key difference though would have to be Eureka's influence, in particular the affect her fragments may be having on the world. The reason Eureka seems to mysteriously be absent could be related to the fact she is awaiting for her fragments to be found. Ao could be intricate and a crucial person in their discovery and only then would the truth be known.
Think of it almost like a race to find her fragments, Truth could be after them as well as Renton, Ao, (in the future) and even Christophe Blanc (possibly) since we already know there are things he is hiding. We still do not know what lies underneath Generation Bleu's headquarters only some hints and speculation. The illusion of the world they are living in could be upheld only so long as her fragments are not collected.

That could be what Truth mentions he seeks to reveal. For all we know time may not have changed significantly as AO leads us to believe, time in the illusionary world could, though. I'm not for certain on Eureka's involvement seeing as I had not pondered my thoughts sufficiently, but that is a rough draft so to speak. We are seeing Eureka's involvement come to more prominence seeing as she has already had influence on Ivica, Naru, and Elena thus far. So many mysteries, but they are starting to reach a point where we may begin deciphering them.
Then you have that crazy alternate universe theory based on Elena/Miller's muttering about going to that other world. The possibilities exist and these are early thoughts of mine, what do you think? Does it sound plausible?

Eureka Seven AO's OST officially was released in Japan June 27th, 2012.

What is your favorite song off the soundtrack? Mine is track 5, IFO-RA272 'Nirvash' Spec-M2.

I got bored of it at around ep 10.
Most of the episodes feels like fillers.

Eureka Seven has never had fillers seeing as it is an original concept. It is a common complaint I heard with Kōkyōshihen. Although it is less prevalent in AO the episodes between 4-11 are all for characterization. Starting with last week's episode 11 things are getting interesting now. Many people including myself who felt AO was rather underwhelming are now getting interested once more.
I won't spoil anything but lets just say BONES is doing the same thing they had with AO's predecessor. The ratings had highs and lows, but before interest fell off, they would have a great few episodes to reinvigorate the viewers. That is kind of what 11 is like whilst I eagerly anticipate the release of episode 12's subs in the following hours.

Oops, I meant last episode as Episode 11, my mistake there.

Anyways,
Episode 12

Well it looks like some facts, truth, and revelations are revealed in the latest episode. And a very familiar face is back from the original Eureka Seven. Good times, good times.

The long awaited reunion!!!

Can't wait to see what's next.

I didn't say they were fillers, I said they felt like fillers ;P
Like they're not moving forward on the main story, just doing random stuff instead.
In in the last 3 episodes before ep 10, it looked like Ao didn't care that Naru had been taken by Truth.
