I guess that depends. For a guy it doesn't really hurt unless something is wrong down there. I can't really same for women but.....I saw some tv show where this girl couldn't produce vaginal liquids(natural lube) which caused it to.....be dry. She then described the feeling of sex as getting razor blades and cutting it all up and then rubbing alcohol on it. In which I replied with " AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH, OH MY GOD. That's not good." So, like I said; it depends.

Well, I'm no woman, but having your hymen burst doesn't sound like it can be anything BUT painful.

Kind of a weird evolutionary path - where the men have relatively low discomfort their first time but women can experience a lot of pain. Seems unfair.

This is true, just because a girl doesn't have an intact hymen doesn't mean she isn't a virgin. It used to be a better indicator of virginity back in the old days when women were generally discouraged from participating in sports, etc.

Everyone is different so no one can tell you whether it will or won't be uncomfortable for you. All one can give is personal experience. Mine was, it was slightly uncomfortable to get used to the pressure but it didn't "hurt". I also didn't bleed, which means my hymen was already broken, so that may have had something to do with it. I was also extremely athletic in my mid-teens; softball, kickboxing,ground fighting, martial arts, snowboarding, etc. so that could have been a factor to. Also, I was used to a certain degree of pain and actually enjoyed it as per my choice of sports, so yeah, you'll find out for yourself in time. Good luck and be safe
