Of anime. At a public location not catering to it exclusively.

and didn't feel like a moron.

Anyone else ever have a moment in life like this?

All the power to you man. I know I can't buy anime in public, at heart I am a total nerd, but my looks totally say otherwise...

It's something about the area. Midwest has a very conservative market in general. Only places that have anything are best buy or fry's.

but yeah, I'm starting to gather some of my favorites on dvd. Starting it off with clannad, then after story. Not sure where to go from there. but it is nice to finally be able to not worry about it.

Why should I feel like a fool for buying something I like? The only time I felt kinda like a fool was when I bought a Baby Name Dictionary. A coworker of mine had an awesome book that helped with naming characters, but since I couldn't find it, I went with the next best thing. Hence the Baby Name Dictionary.

I don't really feel foolish when I buy anime stuff. I mean it's something I enjoy and I'm not ashamed of it. I also don't think it has to matter what others have to say as long as you know you're doing the right thing.

Try Amazon.com too. They have a pretty good selection and most are cheaper than Best Buy.

First time I've had a thread on crunchy roll trolled.

*sniff* so proud.

Anyhow, it's the first time I"ve really felt comfortable doing something like that. Was very much a relief to be able to do it.

And I'll check out amazon, thanks!

No problem. I have purchased many titles on Amazon. Sometimes there are rare used dvds for sale from private sellers. Amazon is my #1 source for dvds/blurays. And yeah I know what you mean about buying anime in public. If my co-workers found out about my hobby then I would be so screwed. Sometimes great jobs have relentless people.
