hi guys, Lately all of the anime i've been watching has had to capture a strange feeling in my heart. Its really hard to explain but i'll try. Have you ever watched a show and wished that you could be apart of there world. Maybe get away from this world, I have the need to escape from this world. Certain animes like Angel Beats! have definitely helped me. Is this normal

Actually, yes, it is quite normal to be swept up in an anime so much you long to be a part of that world. Happens to me all the time. There could be many factors, such as you seeing that world as ideal for you. I know a lot of anime, where the setting just seem ideal for one such as me, and I find myself wishing I were in that world instead. That's really the point of anime.

I cant say that an anime world would be ideal for me but I can say that one would feel more empowering..

I definitely feel connected.
Like when...

...or when...

I couldn't help but feel all giddy and get teary-eyed. I get a huge smile on my face and feel a bit like a little school-girl.

All the time. Or rather, not so much anymore. It was so much before that I actually class all the first 20 or so animes I watched as nostalgic. Good memories. Also I shed a single manly tear when Zabuza died in Naruto.

There's a few anime that did that to me. Code Geass literally put me in a hardcore cry fest with the ending, when I was younger Naruto and Bleach could jerk a tear out of me. Although I don't know if it was the sleep deprivation on top of the emotional stories or not that instigated the tears lol

As the seventh male to post in a row, I will say that it is apparently very normal to be emotionally attached to an anime. Angel Beats and Code Geass both had me tearing up, and Steins;Gate and Bakemonogatari had me so psyched up and excited at times that my breathing rate was affected. For me at least, it's not so much that I want to be a part of the world, as it is that I've gotten to know and get attached to the characters. I guess you might say that I want the characters to be a part of my world, rather than be a part of the character's world. How awesome would it be to kick it with Makise Kurisu or Lelouch? And then there's that small feeling at the end of every character-based tv show, anime, or movie when you feel like your losing some friends because the story is over. It's kind of nice, especially for someone that usually finds it difficult to show emotion with normal people, to be able to learn a little bit about the way humans feel without having to lose your cool around real people.

Killer Bee can seem foolish though has an encapsulating side to him that moves you deeply. He is the king of unexpected, cool, mouth opening, shushing within (all you notice is your breath and his presence), captivating entries. If you don't agree than you're a fool to not think terrifically of him.

I can see Naruto down the line borrowing this and twisting it to his own. It will be like a duo special tag team of theirs. It, I guarantee will be off the charts. I totally see it. When it happens Adam predicted it.

Many animes make me laugh and cry but my feet are firmly planted on the land of reality if you detach yourself from reality your problems will grow like weeds. So instead, be inspired by anime and go fight them. As mainstream as Naruto has become I remember seeing the first couple of episodes back in 2006 and loved the message of never giving up because its true. Now he's powerful n stuff but translated to reality that's you getting a decent job and earning lots of moneyz by not giving up

So many animes....One piece...every time I watch it~ I'd die for luffy wahahaha

death note- I'd be Light in this situation get rid of the evil in this world. Pain from naruto is exactly like him
kaiji- this seems like a hardcore world to live in its scares me but yet its exciting

eye shield- this anime got me so good I always imagine myself as him because I was a sprinter :o

so many animes got the best of me... ahhh but recently not any of the new ones

I've had this happen. While it's not that I want to be part of the world, I do like when I connect with the anime. Fairy Tail in particular does it to me. Angel Beats, Elfen Lied, and Deadman Wonderland hit a couple strings as well. And there are more, but that's plenty enough.

you mean like... everything ended and i sat in a corner being depressed and crying my eyes out?
i don't think you'd count that as emotionally connected.

I do get emotionally attached to many anime. I don't think I would want to be a part of the world though. They inspire me to do things with my life in an odd way. For example: (kinda personal so I spoilered it)

ect ect ect.... I could go on all day with this really

Nothing wrong with getting emotionally attached to an anime. I think it just makes the viewing experience more enjoyable/memorable. Hope this helps. There is nothing wrong with you and daydreaming is fine as well.
