infamybrian wrote: hi guys, Lately all of the anime i've been watching has had to capture a strange feeling in my heart. Its really hard to explain but i'll try. Have you ever watched a show and wished that you could be apart of there world. Maybe get away from this world, I have the need to escape from this world. Certain animes like Angel Beats! have definitely helped me. Is this normal Emotionally connected to an anime? That's quite interesting since I've never thought about it... In my opinion, the only show that is worth watching on CR right now is Naruto Shippuden but just because I enjoy watching it doesn't mean I am emotionally connected to it. |

You're referring to escapism, I think. Positive connotation, mind you.
I've enjoyed escapism since I was 3 years old, starting when I first wondered what it would be like to live in the worlds created by gaming. At one point or another, I think I've imagined myself taking part in pretty much every videogame, book, anime, or TV show I've ever seen. When it comes to especially dynamic worlds, it becomes much easier to forge your own identity within them, I'd say. Protip: Cultivating your imagination can't hurt. As for animes in general making me get all emotional .. Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide IRISVIEEEEEEL!!! NOOOO!!! |

... I think anime has caused me to grow a Lolita Complex. God damnit ...

lol I get attached too. I like go into depression when a series ends, or cry like there's no tomorrow when something bad happens...
but then again, I cried during the Naruto/Sasuke fight ... =.= |

I think i get emotionally attached to a anime.. Detective Conan was my first anime and still when i watched i fell such a nostalgic felling, it just remember me of how..happy i was when i was watching that anime with my friends, it really inspired me and helped me through the lonely hard times..
