This is a hell of a question? I'm Japanese and black mix first of all... I was born here in japan I speak, read, and write Japanese the first thing you should know is that Japanese are usually most comfortable with other Japanese or those who can navigate the culture and LNG. We Japanese are known as the most hospitable people in the world. with that said all guest that come to japan are welcomed... that is our culture but most Japanese dont often meet foreigners so with that said there is a strong shy factor when speaking to people who are non Japanese (Gaigokujin). in my area there are not many non-Japanese ( or very few i should say) but when people find out I'm a mix there is always so many who become more interested in me. as for dark skin people I have many friends in Tokyo who are Indian/ African (dark-skin cultures) who work in computer company they all speak Japanese and they love living here. though I will say when it comes to women pale Asian skin it is seen as beautiful but there are also the younger generation that love to tan and become dark but if you go to Okinawa many Japanese have dark skin too LOL. i think such hang ups and insecurities about skin color and race are an American thing. we don't care...we just live in the Japanese way.... that's all ( hope that helps you out)

She doesn't look anywhere close to black. She looks like any random Asian girl. She's just "Asian" or "Japanese" to us Americans. I can say that because I went to school with a Vietnamese kid who was really dark. (I look more Native American despite being overwhelmingly white with pinches of black and native) |
