Since we are situated as the Tokyo Police Department, and I don't know how realistic or accurate we want to get with the positions but just in case anyone is curious, here are the law enforcement ranks in Japan:

1. Superintendent Supervisor (Keishikan)
2. Chief Superintendent (Keishicho)
3. Senior (Keishisei)
4. Superintendent (Keishi)
5. Police Inspector (Keibu)
6. Assistant Inspector (Keibuho)
7. Police Sergeant (Junsabucho)
8. Senior Policeman (Junsacho)
9. Policeman (Junsa)

And I found this source just by typing in 'Japan police ranks' on Google so if anyone else has a better and solid information on ranks, please share.
