Different natsu and luffy in one piece and fairy tail

Two main characters in one piece and fairy tail, are different, but still more people get confused on them: Natsu in Fairy Tail and Luffy in One Piece Manga, especially in luffy’s 17 years old. They are really similarities.

I'm curious how someone could get them mixed up. they have very little in common other than being the same approximate age and being the main characters

Unless those sort of people are not keen to animated shows which I don't them blame. It's pretty much easy to differentiate both Luffy and Natsu since its part of their character design to be distinctive.
