Okay I used to eat fast food all the time when I was a kid but
like 2 years ago in our health class they showed us this film
called "Super Size Me" & I was disgusted. And I also
researched if it is all real meat and stuff and I was surprised.
After all of this I never get fasts food, I stick with my healthy meals ^_^
Do you guys still eat fast foods? If not what do you guys eat?

It's quick, cheap, and delicious. I've found that regular physical exertion and reasonable measure of consumption to be more important to health than "eating right." Since you changed your lifestyle based on a commercial film, perhaps it might be better to use stock phrases like "staying active" and "using in moderation." Either way, eating good stuff is good, but overrated if you live an otherwise "healthy lifestyle." All that said though, I don't normally eat that much fast food, usually an apple for breakfast and a sandwich for lunch -- not because it's healthy, I just don't really like the act of "eating" as much as other people do. I've got better shit to do I guess.

I've seen that! It was truly awful what it did to that super fit man! It literally changed his body eating nothing but fast food for a few weeks. His fitness levels plummeted and he looked terrible at the end.

Fast food can be really tasty but the key to a healthy life is moderation and balance. So have a Big Mac, but not every day

That show was an exaggeration, to be honest. It isn't the best thing to be on an all fast food diet, but it can be done and you can appear fit. I do cook a lot more at home and that's due to the economy, but every now and then it's okay to indulge. Like on the weekends when I work, maybe once or twice a month I'll order a small pizza with water and only have a few slices each day and take the rest home on Sunday for dinner if there's any left over.

Unfortunately, it isn't the eating part that gets me during the week. It's the not eating, I do forget to eat and sometimes will be too busy to do so. Then I start feeling sick and dizzy, in which I stop and will grab an apple or some frozen grapes.

Considering I lost 20 lbs over 2 months before eating fast food for every lunch I can confidently say that fast food isn't the problem of poor health. What's more important is spacing meals over the day (4 meals is ideal), an active lifestyle, and keeping the overall calorie count as low as you can.

Also the argument of it being meat or not really doesn't matter when it comes to health. Animal matter is animal matter. It is only recently that humanity has had the luxury to discard select parts of the animal. The worst thing you'll consume with fast food is the grease from the fries.

Did not the heaping amounts of oil not give it away?

I respect your hard work in losing weight but It's actually easy to lose 20 lbs in 2 months, it's when your body begins to adjust to your workout after the 90 day period that it really begins to get
tougher to lose weight. I used to weigh 280lbs and Im down to 210, I'll always be a bit bigger and muscular than most guys but
to say "fast food isn't the problem" is ridiculous and totally false. It ALL begins with the fuel you put in your body and if you want to advise these people at least do it the right way. If these people were to take your advice and eat 4 FAST FOOD meals a day they would eventually DIE.
All due respect but that's possibly the worst advice I've heard anyone give on healthy living.

Eat 4-6 SMALLER meals a day, keeping the constant stream of good calories in your system helps you peak your metabolism and keep it "ON" thus being able to burn more calories. The main reason why your body tends to store calories/fat is it's not sure when it's going to get another source of calories so it's our natural system kicking in and holding on to those calories in preparation BUT If you introduce calories every few hours your metabolism will reprogram itself and you will be able burn calories extremely fast. Depending on your size you need consult a doctor or a dietician because what my average caloric intake for the day is totally different from someone who is 150lbs or so. I highly recommend getting a colon cleanser to reboot your system because if you don't and you're just taking nutrients or supplements.. most of that is lost if your system is clogged. Fiber pills is perfect for that. Also for those looking to weight lift I recommend getting a protein powder that has specialized amino acids to help maintain the protein in your body since you tend to piss out 40%-60% of the protein from shakes. Last but not least get yourself a multivitamin.

and yes genuine meat vs process meat IS difference. Processed meat has chemicals added to it and can change the physiology in your body
if you keep eating fast food over long periods of time. If you want to live a long life eat right, be bad every now and then but do not let your health go.

Btw it's proven vegeterians live longer, too bad I like my sirloin.
As for the actual topic,lol..... i do eat fast food from time to time when i want to be bad.

My stomach can't handle too much grease so I don't eat fast food all the time...
But it definitely shouldn't be something on your everyday diet.

If I had to choose though, I must honestly say that Checkers is the best out of all of them.

I will tell the truth about me since i am anonymous here

i used to run in the track team in high school, i am 5'11 and back then i weighed 135 pounds

after university i weighed 175-180, im now at 185-190 depending if i use the toilet (im not joking)

i now work in an office all day long

after a long dreary and mind-numbing day at work on the drive home i think, instead of buying some things to cook, my lazy azz decides to just eff' it and get fast food

the only reason i dont put on much weight is because in the mornings i eat oatmeal and then no lunch,

then my only other meal for the day is the one take out for my late lunch/dinner

ive come to sort of look forward to scouring out new restaurants and places to try

because im finally earning real money its not like the old days where id go to taco bell and eat junk like that, i go to proper greek/indian/italian etc restaurants and get take out like that

its not that i dont know how to cook, just the ease of it is so tempting, it allows me to come home rest up and go to sleep early

Well I'm a bit saddened that a school is using "Super Size Me" as a source of information. It was a completely unscientific film which had no control groups, and who's results were not submitted for any peer review.

The reason Morgan gained so much weight was not the fast food so much as it was over eating. No reasonable person tries to stuff down every last bit of food in a parking lot until they throw up. The experiment has been re-run multiple times with controls and none came close to Morgans results. Many actually had improved cholesterol and lost weight.

I'm not going to explain everything that was wrong with that film, or why fast food isn't really bad for you here. But if you're at all interested in a scientific examination of the film and fast food diets the podcast "Skeptoid" did an episode "Super Sized Fast Food Phobia" which you can read or listen to here http://skeptoid.com/episodes/4088

Since it's impossible to give your views without offending people, I'm just going to stick with the evidence here.......Your colon doesn't need cleansing, or to be "rebooted", and a "clogged system" doesn't prevent nutrients from being absorbed. From a medical perspective these terms are nonsense, and the post referenced was filled with much pseudoscience. I won't pick everything thing apart but will caution that multivitamins are pointless unless you have been diagnosed with a vitamin deficiency. You're not going to be any healthier and put yourself at risk of hypervitaminosis. Please consult your doctor before partaking in these activities.

As for fast food. Use to go often....not quite as much anymore.

If your regularly eating out bring out the calculator and see how much it all costs. It's quite a pretty penny if you're trying to be frugal. And you're not doing much good for your health either. What you eat does determine more than anything else how much flabs you'll have.

The remedy I found is to eat in smaller portions through the day. And walk for half hour around your favourite locations daily. Twice daily. For me an exercise bike helped me drop a further ten kilos. My diet was what I focused on and the exercise was not strenuous just
consistent. <---important word. If need be and accessible just jump on your bike and watch tv or anything else simultaneously.

Fast foods are a waste on your wallet and your waist. You don't need to quit just make them less regular and normal food more regular. I even sometimes prepare food on the night before so I can just walk out with it and munch on it in the morning.

For lazy assess it's much better than sitting in-front of your TV or laptop. It's a given you can always re-watch it on the net. So quit your dilly dallying and invest in that stove and microwave you've got at home. If you have the dough and also lack time then research healthier fast food joints and see how you go. Oh that's right reduce red meat and up lentils and seafood's. Lessen salt.

It's not about parting away with all that is decadent and yummy. It's about sizing it down and sizing up healthier foods. Consistency is key.

I'm no one special in the weight loss department it's just my personal experience and what worked for me. An old man advised me.
