I see light around people, animals and plants. Sometimes around inanimate objects too. I've seen it my whole life. I've talked to pagans who told me they're auras and doctors who told me they weren't sure what it is. I half expected it to go away when I started wearing glasses because I figured it was a vision problem but it's still there. If I stare at people the light gets colorful. I don't do this much as it tends to make people nervous. Anyone else see light like that? If so what do you believe causes it?

Well, I don't see lights around people, but I do hear things a lot and will stare out into space at something beyond what I'm looking at. If you're into the mystical things, the pagan's explanation is the best. It could be a form of aura. But it could also be something with your eyes that doctors just can't explain.

I'm tempted to say lay off the mushrooms but that would be rude. Perhaps it is a vision problem just one that hasn't been diagnosed or it's part of something else you may have. Maybe your brain just likes lights and colors and takes how you view things around that.

So if you wear blue sunglasses and the person's aura is yellow you get green?

Take a look around that site. I think I came across something about auras in there somewhere.

Maybe you need another doctor.

This is really interesting!
I am in no way a doctor or a specialist, but I have been studying a bit about the brain. What we see is not the reality, we see what our brains shows us. (like bees can see Ultra-Violet rays, we only see the colors of the rainbow).
There might be some possible explanation to this.
-there is some chemicals in the brain called "neurotransmitter" . there is hundreds of them. unbalance of those chemicals (too much of too few) can cause things like this. By example, there is Dopamine . Too much dopamine can overstimulate your senses, making you see "more".
-Also, in our eyes we have 3 kinds of color receptors. with those 3 receptor, we can see the 7 colors of the rainbow. There is a extra rare condition in which you have a 4rth receptor, then you can see more colors than normal people. It's called tetrachromacy. There is a test here : http://www.blogadilla.com/2008/06/08/are-you-a-tetrachromat/
- I also saw a video that was talking about people with similar condition. One could see people's aura , One could see color when listening to people's voices, etc. I will try to find this one

The vitreous humor in your eye.

Your retina might tear.. possibly...

Go get yourself checked.
